I’m willing to give Speakman a chance still. If KLD backs him it’s all we can do. We just have to hope he’s as good as learning as he is at talking.
Sure he has enough now doesnt he, certainly for us & at this level, thought it was just a case of the rest or some needs signing off to spend by his mam....she controls some of his pocket money?
I think some of the problem comes in he appears to have only looked at in the main technically 'good' players....failing to respect the fact a team needs a blend, more so at this level, going back to the Reidy days when we had that young side flying attacking sides, some sway games Kevin Ball was the most important player on the pitch The 11 best techical footballers in the world wpuld not make the best team, sometimes the most important player is the one that does the dirty work of winning the ball back & giving it, its as important if not more so what you do when you dont have the ball. closest we have to a ball winning leader is winchester & in my opinion its him 100% start in midfield, pick his partner in a 4-2-3-1, which at the minute is JM. hume played ok so far at RB, play him until he nerds a break, put wright in when he does, worst case gooch, he will struggle but i dont think we can afford to move winchester from that midfield role, we are short of options in a few crucial areas, surely we could have found a loan RB or CB, need to look at free agents for cover. we can only play the hand we have at the moment
Not bothered whether he's liked or not can he do his job? Anything else is a bonus As an aside I don't recall many DoF at other clubs being in the press quite so much just seem to quietly get on with their jobs. Perhaps it's just because this is my club and I take more notice
