Thinking about the shares issue and SD statement that he is providing his funding pro rata makes me think that maybe KLD is running his (SD) money down to purchase the shares cheaper. As KLD investment increases so does SD investment Pro rata. In effect at this moment the club is taking money from him with little to no return to him and we all know he is not that wealthy and given that SD and CM have been vocal to say they will happily sell their shares at the previously agreed (inflated price) suggests to me that the financial implications of this are starting to bite. Or maybe I am reading a little bit too much into it
Why do you have to call out his negativity if you admit you know no better and are guessing too? I'd understand if you did know something but as you admit, you don't.
You can't be from the north east then add that sounds like a bit of a business plan and as CM said, people from the north east know nothing about business
Cos the poster he told to **** off is a constant negative bile spewing bellend. Quality post he made "**** off KLD". Lets see... Constructive? No Reasoned? No Justified? No Wummish? Yes
Can't ask for much more. To my mind the kid hasn't lied. I'm very open to hearing his views and I'll continue to support him
Lied is a strong word. But we won’t know if he’s mid-led us until he explains the situation. I know that’s not really fair, but the lack of clarity, whether its his fault or not, has caused that. It’s absolutely brilliant that he’s making himself available to the fan groups for a meeting next week, and completely understandable he couldn’t make last night if he had planned to be out of the country. Good on him for agreeing to meet “out of cycle”. He obviously gets the importance.
It just modern society, wanting to know every aspect of every decision. Madrox have clearly mislead the fans. I was supportive but after the parachute payments and other issues came to light, they are proven liars. KLD was clear from the start when KS came on board that he was part of an ownership group. I'd just rather trust for now and encourage the club (and Neil who is an excellent choice) and support us to success. I know fans are very vulnerable because we've been taking for a ride so many times, who can blame us, but going on the attack, threatened to boycott based on very little proof of misleading is just us attacking ourselves
Because I see no reason for it when we don’t know the facts. If it turns out that KLD is in the wrong then I will be negative too. I’ve said I know nothing. I’ve said until I do I will keep my powder dry as there could be nothing to get upset about. What is the point of negativity without reason? There isn’t one.
They don't really have any obligation to provide clarity though. We might call them 'football clubs' but the vast majority of 'clubs' in the top 4 divisions of English football aren't clubs at all. You can't become a member in the same that you can in Germany. They're more like American 'sports franchises' in reality- privately owned entertainment businesses. Until such a time as that ownership model changes, too much criticism of the owner is only likely to cause greater problems. I can't think of an instance in which fan pressure has led an owner to give in to the fans. It usually results in them digging their heels in or leaving. Do we really want to drive KLD away? Arguably, he's done more for the club than the last three sets of owners.
I think it is really good that he is meeting with us, have the feeling this meetng could be very enlightening
One could speculate that KLD was conveniently unavailable last night and wants to meet in a fortnight because he will have good news to share that isn’t quite ready to share yet. Let’s hope
What's the point of positivity without reason. You seem to think because you're opinion is perceived as positive it gives you license to call out the negative. It doesn't unless you can back it up.
If I wanted petty arguments I would stay over the road. Anyhow, thoughts @Prehab26 with todays news? Surely things aren't quite right at the moment
I have got to be honest and say following this gives me a headache. I cant possibly work out what is going on, and chances are someone could explain it factually and clearly and I would still be non the wiser. What I do believe is that we are a much better club than we were 18 months ago. Everything looks more professional. We have seen a significant improvement on the pitch in the last 12 months (tin hat on but that is my absolute opinion), we appear much more organised off it. We are spending money in areas we previously werent. However this turnaround has been achieved is welcomed by me.
Whatever. What’s the point? Seriously. I’ve explained my reasons for not putting a negative spin. The other poster hasn’t given any reason for his post, nor admitted he knows nothing. He’s jumped to a conclusion.
I think it’s more likely that he wants to go on record and wants to put his own views across. He knows him not being there after the fans reacted negatively to the shares news would be seen as cowardly. Fair play to him for fronting up and arranging a meeting soon.* *Assuming he turns up.
