That's exactly how it seems to me, and it explains a lot about our financial dealings, maybe KLD is OK with this, if not we will find out in due course, so why is everyone so hostile, it makes no sense.

Suspect its because of how toxic SD and CM have become. After almost ruining the club.
And the fact that they have absolutely nothing to contribute football wise or financially.

Article brings up some interesting Points.
    https://www.sunderlandecho.com/spor...-sunderlands-estimated-worth-revealed-3570985

What is Sunderland valued at and how much would it take for KLD to Buy out Madrox lot
Kevin Maguire reckons based on recent club valuations (Ipswich and Hull) probably currently worth less than £30m
This means that KLD could potentially buy out SD and CM for not much more than £10m (less if he just bought out SD)
(Keeping Sartori on Board wouldn't be a bad thing with his contacts)
Suspect he could come up with that so begs the question why not. If as SD says he is willing to sell
I suspect its because he's not willing to sell (or only at a ridiculously inflated cost) and is still hanging on for a big payout.

Also if they are funding the club on a per share basis as has been suggested then
They must be having a say on how much we spend since they are no where in the league of KLD
If KLD wants to spend £100m there is no way Madrox could match him.
SD and CM just leave a bad taste and by still being involved they are just holding the club back.

Really? I disagree. He could turn up and get stick from everyone there. He could have a perfectly reasonable explanation but most fans, here, twitter and probably at the meeting tonight, have already played judge, jury, executioner and found him guilty.

    he will get barracked.

He may deserve it, I have no idea and do t profess to be an expert in any of this. But if I was monitoring social media and seeing the vitriol for him, I would choose not to go too

There's been rumours for nearly 3 years now that Sartori and Donald fell out at some point between the Checkatrade and play off finals. I'd also add that there's been a rumour for nearly 18 months that Donald and Methven fell out at some point from mid 2020, possibly even before that. To put it bluntly, Donald looks marginalised, he knows how hated he is by the fans and brought Rodwell in to run the club as he looked to get out and he's got very little room to move but while he's got those shares he's got some leverage and he'll not give it up easily.

I'm guessing he's clinging on to a share holding to cash in when we go up or else hoping that KLD bites the bullet and pays a premium to get him out and the NDA was to cover him. I'm sure that I remember reading @Prehab saying that he'd nearly screwed the takeover happening 18 months ago because of his greed. I'd not be surprised to find out that there's an agreement In place fir him to sell at an agreed price when we go up and if we'd gone up last year he'd be gone. Maybe part of the terms of the takeover deal involved him surrendering voting rights on his shares in return for the NDA and an agreed price on his shares in the future? The only people who will genuinely know are those involved and all we can do is speculate.

No disrespect to Ipswich or in particular hull but we are worth double the value of Hull, our club is currently worth about 40 million in total in League one so I'd work with that as a ball park number, it's still a very low valuation if you compare to other clubs

Don't disagree. We are losing money though so longer we are in League one less it will be worth.
However I think the problem we have is that SD is willing to sell but values it at £140m

Hoy in several pints of lager and on @LD19SAFC reckoning, people to blame, it "would be their own doing if they got a deserved clip". I'd stay well clear if I was KLD.

One theory of why KLD doesn’t want to pay the inflated price to Donald now, is that there needs to be financial input to run the club and take it to higher divisions.

Why pay the inflated price for Donald’s shares now? Get him to contribute to the running and progress of the club until the real value gets near that inflated price.

I’m personally glad KLD is staying away.

I still fully believe he is in it for the long haul, and until we know the why’s and what for I don’t want a bunch of bevvied up folk with half a story poisoning his view of our magnificent support.

That could be right. There is a lot more to this than just the headline share split.
I'm happy to give KLD some slack to sort this out.
And I hope he doesn't get undue stick from the fans until we know the details.

For me SD's grubby little hands are all over this.
Hanging on to as many shares as he can get away with hoping for the big payout.
From day one his only interest in Sunderland was making as much money as possible.

May take longer than we would all hope but hopefully there are plans in place to get him out asap.

Hopefully. Think we need to cut him some slack and give him time to sort it.
I don't think he is the problem here.

There will be a **** load of stuff we, as fans don't know. KLD released that statement on purpose and for a reason, he is a well educated, intelligent young man. I'm confident that him and his people won't be mugged off by an insurance salesman.

But individually they dont own more than KLD. He's still owns more shares than any other person - think of the others as indiviulas and not as madrox.

Correct me if I’m wrong I’m not a money expert
Say KLD put 10 million into transfers or shall we say into the club
Could the other 59% match it
Others wise we will be dealing in thousands
    For a while

    And that’s a conservative amount
Never mind the 100s of millions needed in the future

A really interesting idea, and something I think is going to be more prevalent going forward. I would be willing to invest if it were to get off the ground. I would be happy to offer some help putting the legwork in to get it off the ground.
