And a few times since he has been trumpeted as going to invest much more in the club in the near future and become much more involved in the club - only for nothing else to be said (presumably meaning no money was put in). Does anyone know if he has ever attended board meetings or does he use a video link?
I responded to this point of yours - It was valued too high at the start. If any other shares are sold, it will again be because all parties were willing to agree to the price.
It rings even more true as to why KLD only bought 41% If 41% was the minimum amount of equity needed to get 50%+1 of the voting rights (because Sartori had given up his voting rights)… then that’s why he would have only bought the minimum amount, if he thought the price being asked was poor value. It might have been that he knew it was poor value and so minimised the amount he spent on that poor value
Perhaps the failure to become more active may be linked to the alleged fall out between Donald and Sartori after the play off final. Who knows As to board meetings not sure which companies Sartori is a director of at Sunderland. Can only attend board meeting if he is a member of the board I would have thought.
My group of friends including myself, all season card holders who are around the age of 50 seem to be the only people not feeling outraged by this at all. A slight disappointment at most. As far as I'm concerned, I see excellent investment going into recruitment behind the scenes at the club, a hybrid pitch has been installed in last 7 days, I'm sure that will have been a million pounds. Promotion is up in smoke again but we have just employed a very good Championship manager (as opposed to a typical crisis club type appointment. ) I see no hint of crisis, I think Kyril is headed in the right direction myself and I'll certainly not be protesting for his removal.
So why was all of this (the structure) not announced at the time? Why the hush hush?People have a right to be a tad pissed off after then dross we've been fed. Re remembering the day no one knew who the owner was, that was when it was one bloke. Its slightly different now, and I'd like to know who's pockets my money is going into.Best thing to do is wait for the information to come from the horses mouth at the fans meeting tonight. Far too many different voices saying what's what.
Thing is, if we hadn’t of been going through this blip, nobody would of battered an eyelid. I just think (and this is my opinion) the disappointment of what’s happened on the pitch in the last month and a half, a lot of people have just got to the end of their tether with Sunderland and lost interest and then all the negativity posted on social media, it’s very easy to get caught up in it all and pour fuel onto the fire. I am very disappointed in the way this has come about and the fact it looks like we have blown automatics. However, I agree with the fact we have Alex Neil in charge and he has everything in his locker to make us a more tight knit team and a more confident team over the next couple of months and going into the play offs on a high. I said in a post about him that if anyone can get us a win in the play offs, he was probably the best out of who we were linked with. I will make my mind up come what May and I think people should judge KLD at the end of the season not mid February.
Aye. I believe he wants us to go in the right direction he's just not had a brush to scrape the **** off his shoe until now. This looks and sounds like a power struggle where only one person can win as JS will be in with KLD.
Laurel and Hardy have implied it’s the same price as the previous ones in their statement. They have a great track record of honesty of course
I agree with you. Been trying to say the same over the road but it’s like ‘Ugg throw rocks’ with the cavemen over there.
Aye. Though I would add that the best time to judge him or anyone else at any club is after they have had 75%+ for a while. Preferably 90%+ .
Good post mate,I agree with much of what you say. However, the feeling we have that we've not been told the truth needs to be addressed. We need to get behind the lads now to try to get them over the line....talk of protests from some and general discontent with the ownership will hinder that for sure.
Mate,I generally enjoy your posts, but in this case you are ****ing deluded. This fella is a figment of his own imagination, appears on here every time we have a blip, and never when things are going ok,and will likely lead us straight into League 2.
