Surely you mean good friends at Wickes? Also it's a beautiful day in London just over Simon Jordan's right shoulder
Going to be a strange one, nothing he can really do to show the regime change has landed, ie new manager, new players etc. Apparently he’s been pulling the strings and has had a hand in all the recent appointments, so will it be a bit like, here I am. Things will get better from next season. Unless he rocks up with a free agent like Nasri
Of course he is. The salary cap is the only way his little club has a chance in this league. He's fuming on twitter as we speak.
I could well believe that. I have always expected he and his advisors thought they would be buying a club and could spend their money as they wished. There was also a news story a couple of months ago about him seeking advice on salary caps from somewhere in Europe. I would love to think he has flexed his muscles already in this way.
You'd think it would be as simple as reducing the % of turnover from 60% as it stands now. Although I'm glad now they cocked it up and it got overturned and hopefully it stays that way til we're out of here.
Nice to see that this lad has some balls to tell the EFL where to go! Wonder if this is why the rumour that the EFL wanted confirmation that SD could run the club if KLD left came from? I could be putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5,000 but who knows?
If he is going to those lengths with lawyers at the EFL with him he must fully intend to throw some cash at us. Very encouraging
You would think if Dreyfus was behind getting the cap booted out he'd have done it before the transfer window not just after. He's had plenty of time to mobilise his lawyers.
Not if EFL lawyers weren't playing ball and were legally dragging things out until the window closed.
Always a negative with some eh! if the takeover wasn’t complete how could he? The cynic in me is thinking the EFL have delayed the confirmation for this particular reason.
Knowing the EFL the fact it was being contested at all is enough to spit their dummies out. The timing of it being changed feels very much calculated on their part so they can consider it a small victory. Petty little men
Probably was a petty move on their part as you say. It seems like Dreyfus has been in charge practically for some time now though and if I was him I'd have gone for their throat as soon as possible to get rid of it. Maybe he had to be approved by them before he had any sway, fair point.
With the salary cap being scrapped KLD can get any free agent he wants now so nothing stopping him bringing in some quality until the end of the season
