No other media outlets have reported it, or even speculated which says a lot, and the club haven’t confirmed or denied anything.

No the reason you’ve been questioned is because you said categorically that nothing is happening whilst the other ITKs say something is happening. When you’re pissing in the tent whilst everyone else is pissing out you’ve got to expect a bit of pushback. You don’t have to name names but when you’re saying categorically people will ask for provenance to your claims.

I questioned @Smug in Boots last year on rtg yet he ended up being correct multiple times on fpp matters. He even named his source, who then was proven to follow one member of fpp on multiple social media platforms. He was right last year so i have no reason to doubt him now.

Aye mate edited my post cos after I had posted I saw you had gone through it with other. I was catching up on the thread and just took a slight issue with criticising him due to his personal situation. Amazed he's kept posting, feel he's been told to stop rather than personal however. I've got no issues with anyone that shared info. Thanked yourself last year. All I can say is due to our confidence in the info you had me and a pal at work some grief off others. So why I'm not getting as excited this time as football changes so much and until it happens I'm staying calm this time. We're still stuck in league one regardless of who owns us. But excited if this goes the way the people are suggesting.
We all hope for some positive news at some point.. We all want the same thing(Donald and his regime gone) with a bright stable future with a longterm plan. Clearly snippets of info keep surfacing from the supposed ITKs but they vary wildly in what is actually going on.. Which frankly is driving us all mad. All it would take is a statement from the club itself Stating whether there is exclusivity with someone and if a deal was possible in the future.. A statement from the club could stop a lot of speculation and silliness on various forums.. Which at times is ridiculous and embarrassing.. Especially considering we are all in this together and want the same thing.. The best for our club.

Agree 100% FPP hold all the aces but it’s not happening yet SD naively thinks he can still make a go of it, but instead of accepting a respectable offer, he’s going to be left with a considerable lower one after gambling and failing

I’ll deal in facts. SD went on July 18th and Barnes tweeted on July 25th. So maybe you didn’t put ex-chairman in your post? Is SD your source and, if so, are you confident that he isn’t filling you full of ****?
Barnes isn’t an idiot he knows Donald isn’t truthful so won’t believe him blindly when it could end up blowing up in his face. Regardless of that fact I fail to see why Donald even needs to make up something like this. As for other media I think you will find both the chronicle and the echo have run the same story as Barnes and have maintained the same line throughout. Keith Downie of sky sports has actually said the less media reports the better chance a deal has.
But again, I don't see what you're trying to achieve here because you've offered your other side, we've all read it, what's the point in continually repeating it? If you genuinely are new, I can tell you that this place generally gives leeway to new posters but if you keep on like this you'll end up banned because it's not discussion, it's just disrupting. And plenty of people name their source (smug did it last time for one), obviously some can't but they're normally given some credence because they've got things right before, or because other long term posters know them and can vouch for their source. I haven't heard anything directly about this takeover / investment /whatever but people on here know where I'd likely hear information if I got any, I've been open about that. If you're going to say you know something to be categorically true then it's obvious people are going to ask about it. If I knew someone who worked at the club and Donald told him something and he passed it on, I wouldn't say categorical. I'd only say it if I knew it first hand. And on that train of thought, there's been a couple of posters recently (Kildare and summerbee) who have blatantly tried to make people think they're part of the clubs board. I think they're likely complete fantasists who get off on the idea of people thinking they're deeply involved with the club, but there we go. The way you're posting suggests you're either one of them, or very similar .
