Have to repeat, tying in with Smug posting there, as I said the other day, based on last years accounts which were already a £12 million loss, smaller kit deal, smaller short sponsorship, no tickets sales, hospitality or in ground advertising. Donald is conservatively looking at a £20-25 million loss this season. He has to sell. He can’t carry that.
It's going to take some turning around by (hopefully) the new guys. They would have the fans onside though, unlike Donald.
It will, but this shouldn’t be a tough league to get out of. A lower purchase price and a few quid into team is a calculated and clean gamble for a billionaire. If you’ve got worth around £30 million you can’t look at losing 2/3 of it on a wing and a prayer we go up.
It would very much so. I am very confident even if that’s not when it happens that this will go through.
Donald had the fans onside at the beginning. I honestly don’t know if there will be a takeover or not. I want to believe that there will be and I do believe Smug and Magnus are giving us kosher info. I just hope that when/if it happens that the new people have enough about them to put competent people in the key positions and can get us out this god awful league.
That's why the prospect of having Rybolovlev involved is an attractive one. Without wishing to make myself open to accusations of xenophobia, the Americans, who come from a very different sporting culture (even in terms of the MLS), will benefit from having individuals who are familiar with the European football landscape.
