Its football snobbery, failure by many to accept where we are as a football club. I dont like it,but I've accepted that as we stand here now we're a mediocre football club. Great loyal fanbase but that's it. For the time being.
The thing is, those that have said there is no takeover are twisting everything to suit their stance. If anyone thinks that Donald, after selling off all of the young talent and employed mates in important roles from Eastleigh, had an epiphany and suddenly talked about Sporting Directors, Technical Directors, or whatever, need their ****ing heads examining.
Two people one who is totally new and the other with 20% should soon own 80% of the club, I’d call that a takeover
Oh, I though that was the narrative - customise someone's post to suit your own agenda? You know ,like you did with mine
I'm totally on board mate , we need to try treat it as a new start instead of fanzines and fans putting a negative spin on things before they have even got started
i'll give you the championship winning, although most people put that down to Steve Walsh, getting beat in the play offs is not winning anything.
We are always going to have the “supporters” who are impossible to please, boils my blood when anyone with a brain can see we are trying to right a few wrongs. I can never get my head around it.
Not sure how i will get my nose broken on a message board. Its about opinions. These blokes just dont do it for me. The negativity comes from over 40 years watching mainly ****e and seeing ****e manager after ****e manager. Now this bloke from birmingham, i will give benefit of doubt. But johnson as a manger? Is he expected to get us promoted to prem league, or will we be sacking him off next year.
After hearing Speakman talk I'd be over the moon if it was Johnson as I think he would be the best fit into the strategy he outlined.
Johnson could turn out to be a good manager and the new structure hopefully works well but i think what myself and a lot of other fans were hoping for was a new owner coming in and appointing a high profile manager to give the place a lift and hopefully when we get promoted have a few quid to spend. Quinn’s takeover felt very different to this because we were sending out a message by bringing in keane and signing players we were ambitious. This doesn’t do that. When Parkinson got sacked Johnsons name wasn’t in most people’s top 3/4 choices so what’s changed. People have convinced themselves it’s a great appointment. Nobody is disputing there is a takeover but it’s not clearly going to be the sort of takeover lots of us wanted. The fact the kitman was released disgracefully hardly suggests a new positive start and image.
I heard the local radio Lincoln sports reporter yesterday say he couldnt see the Cowley's working under someone so we've gone for Johnson imo.
and again, I haven’t manipulated any of your posts. What you say is on your head, I don’t need to customise it
