I swear down some of our fans just don't get this and think we're just a normal League one club. We're not, even Fergie called us a big club, just a shame some of our fans don't want to think we are.

Probably 6 or 7 times. Not every Huddersfield fan thought the football was ****e but, as we've established, they're pragmatic coaches and will work with what they've got. You can't play pretty football if you don't have the players to do that. Also, you do understand that Mourinho is renowned for playing ugly, defensive football.
Obviously, you're impressed by big names and that's fine. I'm more impressed by achievement and potential. I really don't know why it upsets you so much that I think the Cowleys would be a good choice

    Yeah, I am as well.
Unless he isn’t prepared to work under a Sporting Director/DOF.

Yep. And hell, get Phillips in as assistant and then you'll definitely get a boost. Would be a coup to get him at this level, we know he won't suffer fools gladly , he's got that bit of arrogance that I think you need to be a success here, he wouldn't settle for a Sunderland in league one and would expect to be backed . He ticks nearly every box for me apart from I'm not sure how well he'd work under a sporting director. He's ****ing mental mind, but we can't get everything in league one. And I'm not an ostrich so it's fine.

reet, important things first, my covid test was negative as was rest of the family so some good news, if only for me.

secondly, can people please stop quoting my posts in which i have made it clear someone else posted some info and i was just passing it on to someone that asked...makes it look as if i was personally claiming stuff and some were just waiting 'to shoot me down'...when i claim info as being my own and it is ****e then i will accept all the shooting down you wish to throw at me.

last, i am thinking hard about this managers position and honestly cannot decide...the club (in general) really needs the kind of boost a big name manager would bring and finally make a statement that the new owners have one thing and one thing only in mind, getting the hell out of this division...on the other hand, the more i am reading about the cowleys the more i think they could be what we need, they have worked on even more limited budgets than what we have at present, seem able to adapt to the players at the club and tactically to thier strengths, whereas recent managers seem to have been trying to fit round pegs into square holes.

the question of course is can these 'unknown' managers work the same in the championship and onto the premier?

There was talk when PP was installed that Pearson was spoken to. As soon as he made it clear he expected to bring his back room staff he was dropped.

I know that talk existed but I'm unsure its true, or complete, because Parky then brought in Parkin, Taylor and Allamby at a minimum.

Things might be different now though. If we allegedly have new majority shareholders they may well be open to him bringing in their own people.
You have to remember that every decision made by SD and CM was done to suit a budget on a

The Cowley’s are an excellent choice mate but some fans still think we are Barcelona having a bad time if these players were at Barca they would be in the Italian div 3 it’s got **** all to do with how big your club is it’s how s hite your players are that matters.

Lee Johnson is the first candidate that’s popped up that I’ve immediately thought “no way” to straight away, which is absurd when you consider how close Bristol City got to the championship playoffs regular.

He’s called Streaky Lee for a reason, Bristol would go on horrific runs where they couldn’t beat anyone and Johnson had no answers, this occurred virtually every season. As someone else has mentioned, Bristol City have invested heavily so just missing the playoffs doesn’t cut the mustard.

I’m really warming to Cowley but fear there will be too many baying for his blood after 1 poor result.

Good to see while all this is going on the ownership continuing to plummet to new lows with what they’ve done to Cooke - fkn disgrace.
