Every manager is a risk to some extent, ultimately it's impossible to know someone will do well before hand because there are a thousand variables in play. Poyet was the romantic choice and I was more than willing to get swept along with it. Gutted when sky broke that it wasn't him, totally over it now though. If, as others have suggested, it fell through due to the framework we're hoping to implement not being something poyet was prepared to entertain, I'm totally on board with the notion he's not what we needed. We haven't got time to **** around for weeks though, you'd hope Mr second choice is already mulling over an offer.
Agreed long term needs to be the vision however cowley - not as good as people make out - no style no identify just a work hard method Pearson - wouldnt be here long term Cook - not a long term guy Stendel - whats he actually done bar get barnsley up? nothing
People on here been giving info as best they can for months. You’ve just signed up and are saying they are polluting the pool. They’ve even gone above and beyond and explained how the info came about, what more do you want?
It does look bad, but shows you power of the internet. We literally need sky sports to drown out the misinfo. I reckon its cowleys. This misinfo is how trump won the 2016 election.
Today highlights one thing, as long as methven, donald , rodwell are involved in any way shape or form we will continue to be run like a non league club. Today was another **** up added to an already long list. On top of that we have released our loyal kit man on the same day. PR disaster
I don't know what he brings. But people love him as you say. A lot of people are ruling him out because he's not a big name and pretending it's because they know more about him than they do.
Obviously respect everyone has their opinion and that is yours. However, I think you’re being especially harsh in Cowley. The job he did at Lincoln was incredible. Also at Huddersfield he was doing a good job considering it was his first job in the championship, including beating teams such as West Brom, and was only let go after a disagreement. Style of football is a bit of a false accusation against him. He has been pragmatic wherever he has been and played to the teams strengths, getting results. I’m not sure you have any basis for saying he is not as good as people make out. Provide evidence and argument if so. And your Stende argument is not really a good one because “just getting a team out of this league” is exactly what we need. And it goes beyond that, with his football being attractive and seemingly really galvanising fan bases. I just think the negativity against these candidates isn’t really necessary considering the realistic pool. And also considering Poyet isn’t exactly a competent stellar choice. Yes, he has managers in higher leagues but very rarely with us in the Prem needed the ‘miracle’ to stay up. What’s to say Cowley and Stendel wouldn’t be far better choices in the long term?
Why do you hate him for no reason? You haven’t actually provided any argument for why he’d be a bad choice.
So we’re pissed off. Just to add a bit of perspective here, this happened in Germany today. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-12-02/pedestrian-killed-by-car-trier-germany/12940594
