He has posted nothing exclusive or anything other than what Prehab and the likes have posted. I believe Prehab has sources and posts in good faith. It's the whole attitude and sarcy remarks if anyone dares to criticise than irks me, more so, when nothing SIB has posted has even came true.
I think if Poyet really wanted it they could have worked something out. What happens next will say a lot about the new owners. As I said on another post I really hope they looks for a progressive footballing manager who can give us some style and entertainment to take the club forward. and don't decide on a short term hoof ball dinosaur
I'm Sunderland through and through and want nothing but the best for the club. I don't appreciate other fans having a superiority complex over others, especially when they have zero reason to.
This to me suggests they are very focused and wont be dictated to by managers. If Poyet didnt want to work under the proposed model then **** him - we move on to the next on the list. Having read about the Cowleys they do sound impressive - have managed in the Championship and could be the ones to grow with us as we move up the leagues. Theyve certainly improved each club they've been at thats for sure.
Apologies, was going to reply earlier to say I'm not sure exactly what he's done to get it over the line but know several people who I trust have said he was the driving force and has been very keen to get it completed. Months ago I was told that he was putting out over optimistic misinformation to put pressure on Donald to sell and that it could only be because he'd benefit somehow from a takeover. Whether that's a higher %, more influence or simply because he thinks his share will be worth more with new owners I'm not sure. But I'd heard it from different people who would have different sources... Then all this poyet stuff happened which makes me question everything I've been told before so **** it, might all be a load of ****e, but thought I should still reply to you!
well thats fine with me mate. If they are insisting a Sporting Director and are sticking by their guns, it still hopefully means the takeover is still on A manager should never dictate which way the owners should run their club
it would be a massive gamble, but also show a lack of ambition, however we have to back whoever comes in. that's the problem at the minute mate, all that has been posted seems legit (although some people love to pour scorn on it just to say "see i was right"). James Hunter has just confirmed on Twitter that Poyet spoke to the club today so all the info from yourself @Magnus @Prehab26 @Wheatsheaf has been spot on, these things happen it obviously wasn't meant to be, we move on, the main thing is we support whoever it is and pray they get us promoted as I can't do another season down here it is so tedious.
Not that upset about Poyet, my gut instinct was that it would have ended up with us unhappy with his slow build playing style anyway. He still would have been a big name to get to come to L1 like.
The single most important position is this sporting director and structure of the organisation moving forward. Get the takeover done (if still on) and get that position filled first. Then concentrate on a manager that works within that. That structure and the person who it will be has to be in place for a decade plus and will go through a number of managers in that period. If Poyet cant work within that then he isnt the right man for the job. Some good news has to come out quickly though as a black cloud is starting to gather.
Apparently not, he thinks league one is beneath him at this stage of his “career “ unless that’s just an excuse for not wanting to work with DOF but why not just say that?
