Yeah, he is capable of providing one or two moments in a game that we are sadly lacking, the difference between a 1-1 draw and a 2-1 win. If he does nothing else but provide a few quality balls to provide these chances hes worth a place.
That's the million dollar question. However he is probably one of only a handful of players who would get a chance in the Championship if we manage to go up so maybe he will sustain his performance levels with an eye on next year?
Have no clue whether he would be eligible or could be made so if he isn't at the moment. But it looks like that's been clarified already
I posted last night aswell mate got the heads up it was okay off me mate, basically the recon he put the feels out to the fans to see the reaction, He’s good mates with sartori Poyet is the one, Mcgeady coming back is all down to him is the crack from me mate
You're right, the two you mention were Dick's choices. Lens started like a steam train, but lost interest when Dick left. There was no doubt he had talent, but instead of knuckling down and getting on with the job, he started sulking. He probably came here to play for Advocaat and was likely told that he'd be playing with people of similar talent, in a team built by Advocaat. Sadly, that didn't happen. Lombaerts (Dick's choice) 'failed a medical', despite him vehemently denying it, and we were told that Fer failed a medical later that week. Congerton brought in Kaboul and Adam Matthews in the same week.
Bit of a catch 22 really. Can't announce a new manager yet until the takeover is done otherwise the manager will be bombared with questions about said takeover and who made the decision to offer him the job etc, but we can't announce the takeover until it's ratified. The impression i get is they are awaiting for EFL sign off to be able to formally announce the takeover, and in doing so they can then announce the manager. Probably putting this bloke in charge of the match tomorrow just to bide a little bit of time for the rest of the week. I reckon the new man will be in for Saturday if things go as expected.
I’d have to assume that if the Gus Bus is driving back to Sunderland then we will also have appointed a Sporting Director sanctioning his appointment as that’s who Gus will be reporting to. Or merengue?
Tempting! If it is to be Poyet, as a lot of people are saying, he'll want people who are comfortable on the ball, which would rule a few of our lot out. Could be the making of Embleton and Neil though, and i think he'll look to play Sanderson, which is a good thing.
That's right. The tall athletic midfielder we were crying out for. We missed out on him and on M'Vila (permanently).
THE GUS BUS LIMITED - Overview (free company information from Companies House) (company-information.service.gov.uk) THE GUS BUS LIMITED - Overview (free company information from Companies House) (company-information.service.gov.uk) Might struggle seems it went bust. Maybe Companies house hasn't caught up with the current goings on.
missed out on him at 12/1 last night, tried to get me sky bet reactivated but they wanted DNA samples the lot to reopen it. Too slow to ask a mate to do it. Me old mans gonna chin me because we were meant to do a tenna each. Sure once he’s in place he will forgive me
It’s weird seeing all the different players our previous managers asked for and never got any of them so they were all sacked when we didn’t do well but we were still stuck with the tossers who brought the wrong players in let’s pray that sort of stuff is confined to the bin.
Can anyone remember why Gus left before? My memory isn't great but we're us fans not partly to blame for him going? I stand to be corrected.
