Just this morning Nixon said he doubted Parkinson would be sacked until the takeover sorted; and also separately that there was work to do on the takeover. So it’s pretty clear Nixon wasn’t expecting this today.
it’s unlikely any new manager coming in would take the team into a game so soon anyway. Doesn’t mean that guy isn’t lined up, just can’t / won’t be announced yet for obvious reasons

Well I've been working this afternoon and completely missed it - the Mrs popped her head in and said "Parkinsons been sacked". Spent the last 20 minutes catching up on this thread. Safe to say i'm over the moon - hopefully we get this next appointment right and its important we allow anyone coming in time to build - its going to take time and i dont think we'll go shooting up the league. Fingers crossed we make the right appointments now. Haway the lads!!
