Spot on Gordon.. It is my belief that the negativity that seems to be a modern trait of our support becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. If we had the type of vocal backing all of the time that we did in the crucial games at the end of last season we would in my opinion do far better..
We haven't had a home game yet mate. I refuse to be put in the same pot as the people who let us down at games.
I'm talking about our fan base as a whole mate.. Everything always seems to be doom and gloom which drives me nuts..
That's because the negatives are outweighing the positives at the moment. If you can accept the optimism which comes with the positives you should accept the dejection which comes with the negatives. Happy clapping is just as bad as doom mongering imo. However, I reckon the way most are expressing themselves is just plain old human nature. Social media and Messageboards are just opinion platforms, if we can't discuss doubts here where can we? People's concerns are valid and should be respected. But it's important the tension and frustration doesn't come across while they're on the pitch playing and it doesn't have to. It won't with me, which is why I know the two don't have to be exclusive.
I'm a fanatical Sunderland fan; one with eternal optimism however, can you give me our midfield for Sunday and try to tell me that it doesn't warrant people being (at best) disillusioned ?? Note: Taking into account Catts, Kirchhoff, Borini are allegedly struggling.
I wouldn't go that far like. Get a better idea once the window closes and the season takes some shape.
Yeah I know mate. Just a bit of gentle ribbing. Getting a bit concerned now though tbh especially if your Khazri info turns out to be true. Seems like every time we try to make improvements something happens to derail things. Still hopeful obviously but time aint on our side. Not completely depressed yet though. Hanging on in there.
F*ck the positivity. £5 mil for Mvila. No we will sign a f*cking 34 yr old never was instead. UTTER UTTER F*CKING W*NK. PS. My positivity stretches to the last few days of the transfer window better see a vast turnaround in some quality coming in. PPS. Negativity. At this moment in time I can see us getting well beat off the nappy rippers.
I think a lot of us are mate. The thing is there`s very little in the way of positives to cling on to. 3 top signings sharpish and the whole place will be lifted. The atmosphere will change completely and Gordons thread will turn positive again.
There is this funny looking horse just walked past my window and it had this long curly horn thing on its forehead - anybody any ideas?
Pretty sure that the whole point, ignite the place, but not three games in, lifted with januzaj, then bashed with, Kaboul, Kone again, no known imminent in comings, I refuse to acknowledge peinaar as nothing more than squad player, oh and guessing lens away also.
