Looking bleak for Europe at the moment, Casey and Mcilroy have donated absolutely nothing for the cause today. Overall been outplayed so far and Harrington has picked the wrong pairs and not had the balls to drop the players he should've. To leave out Garcia this afternoon was mind boggling

I’m usually one of the few on here defending the US and Americans, but it has to be said that US Ryder Cup home crowds are truly repellant.

Not a good start for Europe. Ho hum.

Agree. The US supporters sound so moronic.

I'm no golf expert, but this looks like being one of the most one sided Ryder Cups for some time.
Lots of criticism of Harrington too.

To be honest I think that 80% if American golf fans would turn up with their guns if they could ! Not the most intellectual of people, it just gets shown more at Ryder Cups than normal

Don’t you know golf and guns go hand in hand.
Heck, they both start with the letter ‘G’ …. just like God, who said it’s written in the 2nd Amendment, that they can bear arms…. and legs and whatever!

Have to say that compared to the American players the European players look like a bunch of old men, with 1 or 2 exceptions.....

Can't see this ending well...

11-5 down I really can't see us coming back from this. Too many key players just haven't stepped up and, although I hate to say it, the Yanks have justified their World rankings. We'll do well today to reach double figures...

I don't think our selection process has helped us at all this time round. Covid forcing it back a year has meant we have too many players playing that are out of form or simply not good enough anymore. The States had 6 free picks to add to the 6 that were there by right, when you add it all together they have a team made up of the best players in the world bar a few and players that have been in form over the previous 6 months. A very formidable team indeed, probably the strongest I've ever seen. Every single one of them has contributed in some form while we've had the 2 Spaniards , Lowry and Hatton in patches. Harringtons pairings have been downright clueless in my eyes, he's totally wasted Poulter sticking him with a uninspired Mcilroy twice. Other pairings have been equally ill thought out. I honestly don't think it would've made too much difference this time round away from home without hardly any European fans there but it should've been closer than this. Maybe we need to look at our selection process in the future especially away, as the USA team looks like its gonna be very strong for a good while yet !

Americans nailing every 8-10ft putt we are missing the majority. Singles could have gone a different way if had putting had been on the ball, approach play has matched USA. Emotional Rory interview
