For me, it's up there with the classic sporting occasions. Love it when it gets close on the Sunday and fantastic players are reduced to looking very normal through nerves.
Our pairings for tomorrow morning's fourballs don't look very strong do they? Not sure if he is getting the rookies out early or are they the in form players.
I've just noticed our vice captains, wish some of them were playing

Love the Ryder Cup
Proper sporting occasion like you say

Actually a Vice Captains v Vice Captains match would be a belter (why so many?)

I see what you mean. I suppose they have a vice captain overseeing each pairing? On top of having a partner (which they aren't use to) and two caddies all telling you what to do. Oh and if it gets close, the captain himself will probably want his twopennyworth. It must take some adapting for players who are use to been in charge of their own destiny

Firstly I can't wait.

But I assume it's about getting the rookies out there early on to settle their nerves. Making them watch all morning might make it worse and make their nerves intensified. The other way is to go as strong as possible to get early points on the board. It's an impossible task being a captain.

yeah, i can't recall that approach ever before. Shows a lot of confidence in them.

Good to see Tiger back but he still looks like he's about to burst into tears at any time :emoticon-0106-cryin
