We've got no money, we're down to the bare bones, we're a perennially struggling club, so why would any PL player, with experience of the PL sign for us? We're not a good career move at the minute.

If DM can work his magic, and get us up with the likes of Stoke, then maybe we can sign up experienced PL players. Just not at the minute. Not this window anyway.

Probably a little pessimistic there mate. Just trying to be pragmatic.

Any new signings in these last few days will probably come from abroad. Unless Moyesy can sweet talk some PL players in.

I doubt it, but fingers crossed.

I dont agree. We might have no money but somebody like Mason would walk straight into our team and get himself back some recognition.
Its far too early in the season to be a full of doom and gloom ffs.

I'm fine, I just don't have nearly as much confidence in Moyes as I did in Big Sam. With Kone and Kaboul, we could count on winning games (1-0), now I'm thinking we need to win (2-1). We could have scored seven against Boro, had that last pass found it's target. I think someone like Mason could help link up or coordinate the attack.

How can you base your opinion of our season ahead and our new manager from like i said a losing battle against City away and a makeshift team against Boro??

If I heard a manager talking about how his club are going to be in a relegation battle after a couple of games, I don't think I'd want to go there. Moyes isn't selling the club very well. He even said that he never took the job last season, because it was an impossible task. Allardyce took it on and got us safe. That shows the difference between them two, right there.

Moyes needs to sort his mentality out because it's not a good look.

Meh, we just brought in a full back from Ath Madrid instead. What were we thinking when we could have went in for Championship standard, Yedlin?

Like Bobby Robson once said though, dont start taking notice of the league until after 10 games.

That may well be true but at least our former Athletico Madrid full back would actually recognise their stadium.

Well Manquillo hasn't really played much for Athletico has he. Mostly loans out to other teams - Liverpool, Marsailles, etc.

    Oh them nobodies <laugh>

Manquillo played for Athletico Madrid when he was 17. He's still only 22.

Exactly my thoughts. Those comments put us at a psychological disadvantage on a variety of levels.
