I'm wondering why JT is absolutely villified by fans and press alike and Ryan Giggs is held up as a shining beacon of light and goodness. He sleeps with his brother's wife for a number of years and it hardly merits a mention.
Can anyone throw a light as to the reason for this?
 
'cos that ****bag is a media darling who plays for the most arse licked team in the league.

I've lived 'Up Norf' for 6 years now and when all the Terry debacle was going on, the locals were united in the fact that Terry was/is a bad man cos he's a "cockney [insert expletive here]". In my experience they're not only the first to jump on the bandwagon but generally the creators and that meant it got a lot more exposure due to the fact the whole shagging Bridge's wife thing came out when Bridge was at City, and let's not forget there's been a much bigger rivalry between us and Utd/City/Liverpool over the last few seasons and they're bound to be a lot more derisory about our Captain.

And also why was Ryan Giggs voted the best premiership footballer for the past 20 seasons? Thierry Henry was better than Giggs.

Call me Mr Picky, but it was not Bridge's wife in any sense nor even his girlfriend at the time.(Though they did have a child together). They had split up long before the alleged liason took place. And for my money JT, if guilty is only guilty of exposing to the world what a tramp Bridge was courting and he should be grateful to Terry for doing so. I will never forgive Bridge for his refusal to shake the hand of a fellow professional before a game. On the other hand Shagging your brothers wife is of course, acceptable. No fear when the two respected gentlemen finish thier career's they will tell the truth, given thier ages we wont have to wait too long.
 
Its all about the press creating inter club debate! As far as I'm concerned its material for cheap girlie mags! If you want to get to the bottom of it all watch CTV or get a quality daily newspaper!
 
Previous form has a bit to do with it as well. JT has a history of "misdemeanours" going back to the Josie Morris assault on a doorman case.
Giggs was cunning enough to commit his "indiscretion " behind closed doors, and got away with it for years.
But the main reason is the Clubs. Man Utd can do no wrong, Chelsea can do no right. Mother Theresa would be vilified if she was the Chelsea tea lady.

Just like Rooney who sleeps with prostitutes (whilst being a married man with a child), betrays and insults his former and boyhood club and their fans, makes up false claims about his former manager, holds his club to ransom and is constantly insulting the officials and opposition players, but the United fans along with the media and pundits line up in queues to lick his arse.

Let's not even get started on Gerrard.

Disgusting as Ryan Giggs actions were, he has not made fun of American tourists in the immediate aftermath of the 11 September attacks. He has not been charged with assault and an affray. He has also not been fined for parking his Bentley in a disabled parking bay. He also does not allegedly take money from reporters for private tours of United's training ground. Finally he is not being taken to court for racial abuse of a fellow professional.

Also, Giggs "affair" was nothing to do with team mates, or likely to disrupt a team. Terry's alleged affair was within the football world, and therefore of more interest to football fans. I couldn't care less who either sleep with, but I judge Terry more because it involved a team mate when discussing it on a football forum.
 
Basically he plays for Chelsea.

That's not to say some of his actions (of which some are merely alleged) are right but since Roman took over and to a lesser extent Jose was in charge, Chelsea have upset the status quo of Liverpool / United dominance in the last 3 decades and people don't like it. Terry is a symbol of 'new' Chelsea and therefore a figure of hate for rival and bitter fans. This is why Chelsea players have been booed playing for England when players of lesser ability / contribution have not.

I fully expect City to experience similar in seasons to come if their success is sustained.
