Kiwis Haka still sends shivers down mine, but it's wearing off now as I've had to watch it over and over again as my 4&2 yr olds think it's 'awesome'.

It's a bit more of a game for the purists, with the technical infringements dominating the first half. With a bit of luck and discipline, the second half could be more flowing. We've only had glimpses of the skill both teams are capable of so far.
I always find New Zealand's consistent performances incredible given the small population pool they have to select from.
Kiwis different class now Dutch. I reckon their kids are given rugby ball from birth, like you said small population but a constant force in the world of RU
Well, New Zealand is a country with only 1 professional rugby league team which has to travel to Australia to play, and yet has managed to win one of the last 3 Rugby League world cups and got to the final of the other two.
What thatbsayscabout the state of English rugby is something that maybe Gwillam could explain.
I am guessing that competition is a bad thing for the kiddies and winning isn't important aren't things which hold much sway in schools over there.

Yep agree, Argentine was defence was solid but eventually legs got tired and Kiwis class showed. First time Kiwis not got a buenos point in opening qualifier too I think I heard the commentator say.

Haven't been watching it yet, keep having stuff to do, but looking at the results it looks like the usual suspects will come through, despite SA getting beat by Japan, I looked at the tables & saw they were on 2 points. Luckily Google helped with why they have 2 points & I expect SA & the Jocks to go through because of this.
If I was Japanese & they went through by either of those 2 points past Japan, I'd be really pissed off!
I understand the reason is to try to make it more interesting, exciting & all that but it would become a bit of a farce if Japan didn't go through due to that!

If the Sweaties get done over by a Japanese side full of belief and confidence then the Jocks could struggle to qualify for the next round.
