I see. So what you're saying is Suarez has never been the best striker in the PL, but there's a chance that Suarez might end up being better than RVP this season? After all, you can only judge class over a whole season, not ten games against different opposition.
Judgements can be made over whatever period of time you like. This "whole season" rule has only been introduced recently by Man Utd fans because you are doing so poorly so far. If you don't like it take it up with every website that has a form guide or as-it-stands table. No one should publish the PL table unless it's the end of the season or Man Utd are top?
Fixed The only objective test is how strikers do when playing the same opposition across the whole season. Don't recall anyone ever winning the Golden Boot for August to November. Or are you about to argue that Ross McCormack is the best striker in the UK right now? You are of course free to make your own subjective judgement, but don't be surprised if no one else values it at all
No two strikers ever play against the same opponents due to injuries and transfers (players and managers) in addition to voluntary squad rotation.
They play against the same teams home and away. May not be perfect, but it's certainly a more objective way of judging performance than judging them on a handful of games against completely different opponents. Probably why all the main player awards are given on a seasonal basis.
Judging them on the number of goals they have scored so far this season is also completely objective. There is no subjectivity involved in a simple goal count. Even though it also has its imperfections (e.g. Suarez has played fewer games) it is still objective. 12 is not "a handful". The opponents are also not "completely different"; 8 common opponents, plus the game against each other, leaving 3 games with different opponents.
So by this kopite 'logic' Soldado has proved he's a beter stiker (sic) than Dzeko this season then? & Remy is a better striker than Lukaku..... Giroud than Negredo.... If brains were gunpowder, you'd not have enough to blow your ****ing hat off.
This is still going on Top prem strikers. Aguero Suarez Lukaku RvP Sturridge is scoring but I don't actually think he's top 4 even though he has 9 goals. In that order, so van rapist not even the best in Manchester, certainly not the PL and certainly not as good as Suarez. What RvP is, he's the best finisher out of that list but not the best striker
Your usual level of retort when armed with precisely nothing to counter with, I see. I don't know why you bother, your football knowledge is dire, backed up with logic that a 12 year old could rip to pieces. Dolt
Wrong. I guess you'll have to live with it, I know you are hoping RvP bails you out by finishing with the golden boot, I really doubt he will, but it's early doors yet.
RVP is obviously quality but he not a patch on last year where I would argue he was the best striker in the world. I think Rooney has been better this year personally, along with Aguero and Suarez.
Aguero was injured half of last season and Suarez was on course for the golden boot up till the ban, also Suarez was voted better than RvP too, Bale Suarez RvP in that order
Perhaps, but that was just my opinion. I never buy into those polls/competitions because I quite frankly don't trust them.
half of last season. He missed eight games through injury - Rooney missed more games than him last season. Still love your constant attempt to use injuries as an excuse for Augero and City folding like a house of cards last season, whilst insisting that us having the worst injury record in the PL was no excuse for missing out on the title on GD in 2012. Whatever happened to more goals = better striker. End of? Subjectivity, thy name is Sisu
I'm sticking to that and Suarez wasn't the best striker last season though he probably would have been if he hadn't got himself banned. He doesn't have the thug quality (i.e. correct nationality) of Rooney to get away with assaulting other players.
Nothing happened it you dolt In case you didn't cop it Suarez season ended with 4 games to go, at that point was he not the one with most goals? And Aguero, how times was he a sub? he was in and out of the team last season, he was not out for 17 games but his season was pretty much disrupted throughout. Still doesn't take away from him being far better than RvP this season either, by a country mile too
Just in the United Kingdom. Based on the last full season, the last two seasons and the last 3 seasons. He is the most consistent, most lethal and most accomplished striker. Even in relatively poor form he is capable of scoring a great number of goals such is his unquestionable quality. In terms of which striker is currently in the best form, an argument can be made for 2 other strikers. However the time frame being used can work for and against RvP. Hes scored in each of his last 4 Premier League games. Exceptional form I am sure all would agree. The other two strikers have not scored at least one goal in each of their last 4.
