Robin van Persie has announced he will not be extending his contract at Arsenal, with a statement on his official website reading: "I’ve thought long and hard about it, but I have decided not to extend my contract. You guys, the fans, have of course the right to disagree with my view and decision and I will always respect your opinions."

They missed out the ".... But they won't make a blind bit of difference. Thanks for paying my wages, by the way."

@piersmorgan

Why would @Persie_Official see the signing of Giroud, who can't even make a weak French team, as 'progress' ? #Arsenal

Why would anyone think that the opinion of Piers Morgan was actually worth a ****?

RVP won't be getting an invite to Piers's TV show any time soon methinks...<laugh>
Apparently the ratings have plummeted, he gets less than a million viewers pers show, in a country with well over 250 million people. Looks like the odious little twat will be out of a job soon. Like Wenger if he doesn't win something this year.

Well if they sell him this summer then, Arsenal become well and trully mediocre.......another team we may finish above this season! Can see us top 5 at this rate! ha ha

To be fair he's stuck with them a fair while. If he wants to win the league and maybe the CL then he needs to move on

Harsh but that's the way it is
