    I know the valid points are hard to swallow but calling me a baby won't make it better. You have to beat city to win the league. You were not able to do that last season so what's changed? The signing of RVP does not guarantee you a title and as I said as a team city look to be even stronger both mentally and player wise. Coming on our board and trying to tease us about RVP's departure Only makes you look petty and small minded. Go play on the city board and boast about your new signing to them. I'm sure they'll laugh at you even more than we are.

    Same members with 2 extra signings.. Lol good luck. Injurys happen every season what will be the excuses then? RVP known as injury prone. God help you if he gets injured. Most teams have their best squad at the start of a season which slowly gets ravaged as a premiership season progresses. Same as every season before. The main difference is that city have amazing cover. Do you?

    City have amazing cover do they?

    Shall we investigate?

    Kompany was out for a short period last season...City collapsed.

    Yaya was out for a short period............they collapsed.

    We played almost the whole season with no Vidic and no Fletcher..... we lost on goal difference.

    I dont think they have very good cover and neither does Mancini or alot of City fans.

    Hmm I remember a certain mr Rooney was not so popular last season after his flirtation with leaving United. Get out of your glass house mister.

    So even though they collapsed multiple times during the season they still stopped you from winning the title. That's worrying. Lol

    Erm........ no.....

    They showed how they rely completely on those 2 players. Lose them and it shows.

    We lost 2 very important players and city beat us on goal difference. Tells me that we have a great squad who can compete regardless of the challenge but I wouldnt be so confident City could do the same without Kompany and Yaya for a prolongued period.

    There are a lot of gooners like myself who are not pleased about him leaving but accept that that is now the nature of the game. So be it we will move on. What makes me amused is fans like yourself who come on here spouting complete **** when you have not won anything this season. Boast about RVP all you like its a real coup but remember his signing like so many great signings do not guarantee you success. It is a bit desperate coming on our board to basically tell us what we know already, you have aquired the services of our best player last season. Everything else you say is just speculation until united win something.

    Adios

    @shwan

    1) We agree here so not sure what your trying to argue.

    2) Stop with hating on the french league. All you have done is take the few names i mentioned and go "they were 21 or younger when they left so no-one in the french league above 21 is any good" - thats ridiculous logic. I'm not going to bother going through old transfers to prove you wrong, but come on, just because the leagues overall standard isn't as good as the EPL does not mean there are not some very good players in the French League. Your argument is basically - Giroud is from the French League and over 21 so he is crap.

    3) Again i'm not sure what your point is? I said if he does well we will buy him and the reason for the loan is due to a lack of game time at Madrid rather than being a flop. Your now saying the same thing as me?

    4) So your entire comeback to my point about Kagawa not making it into our midfield is that he is faster than Rosicky... i see.

    5) My point was that we have not directly replaced RVP with a like for like striker, but rather added different dimensions to the team so that we do not work through a single point upfront anymore It's the combination of new players comming in that will change our style to not be reliant on RVP as opposed to putting in another RVP quality player (there are very few of these) and being over-reliant on the new guy. Your using our first game of the season to justify how much we will miss RVP when it is too early for the changes to have taken proper effect yet. Also Sahin is good defensively but not a DM - we are still in the market for a Song replacement i think, but we have very good depth in the middle of the pitch.

    @UIR - Kagawa

    Yes i was comparing Kagawa to Rosicky. Both play a similar role, both played for Dortmund, both transfered to the EPL.

    Rosicky is a top class player, he has just been plagued with injuries over the last few seasons. Last season though he started to show what he is really capable of once again.

    My point was also that in our midfield we have Cazorla, Wilshere, Sahin, Rosicky as creative options and that Kagawa would be fighting with Rosicky for his place. I rate Kagawa as a good player and i rate Rosicky as a good player. I'm not saying Sahin, Wilshere and Cazorla are all miles ahead of Kagawa, just that he would be behind them in the pecking order. Whereas at Utd he walks into the first team as you have a real lack of creativity in the middle of the pitch.
