It's not the greatest, but there is a slow turn in form as the stats above show. There were plenty on here quick enough to plunge the knife when we lost 3 in a row!! I still feel some on here would rather we got relegated if they thought it would get Johnson out, than stay up with him in charge. A very sad state of affairs. If, and still a big if we stay up SL will feel vindicated for his choice, everyone just assumes a new manager would see us doing better, but there is no guarantee of that, ask Rotherham, Wolves and Blackburn. Rightly or wrongly SL has gone for stability in his manager. I hope at the end of the season he takes stock and we are still in the Championship and he finally realises that LJ isn't going to take the club where we all want it go and will relieve him of his duties. Giving SL time to find a replacement and give that person a full pre-season to shape the team, something anyone coming in now cannot do!!
I'll take anything on the upside no matter what. Your suggestion regarding Lee's long term future is spot on and yet I have my doubts that it will happen, solely because I don't think Lansdown has the personality to admit he could possibly be wrong.
Wiz when we lose you slate LJ but not the players, when we win you praise the players, and the fans, but not the manager, strange don't you think.
It's not just Wiz, notice how quiet or board is tonight. I'd bet my house if we had drawn or lost today this board would have been a hive of negative activity as usual.
Nothing strange about it, I can't stand the bloke for his pathetic record and he deserves absolutely nothing from me he is a complete non entity in my opinion and I hold him in total contempt, the quicker he is gone the better for all of us, everybody thinks we are heading for safety after his record of 3 wins in 18 matches, I don't, nothing has changed and my contempt for him has not either. Forgive me mate but that is the way I feel, I have been honest I'll leave it there...
Fair comment Wiz, you have always been consistent in your opinion of LJ, hope it doesn't come back to bite you on the bum, by the way I think he should have been gone awhile ago, or has Mr Lansdown seen something we haven't ?
Great, that is how fans of the same club should respond to each other, I haven't got the answers but I do have an opinion and so does every other contributor, I respect theirs, I hope they do mine. I will repeat myself just for my own thinking, I think it's great we won today, the players deserve our support and they have got mine,they can only play or try to play to the managers plan, it's so obvious to me where the weakness comes from, Johnson and yes it could come back and bite me but I don't matter but the man in charge does and he is a failure. Up the City..
Amen Brother. Everything on this board is an opinion and no-one can consider theirs better than the next man. But it's unbelievable what a polarising figure LJ has become. Even more unbelievable that SL has stuck by him when every other manager in the league who has under-performed has been axed. What binds us lot together is our love of the club. Let's keep that front & center as we all continue to bitch and moan at each other.
