My bro lives down in Marbella and says they basically control all the crime down there. He used to live up in the mountains in a house which was worth £750,000. Said that his landlord failed to show once to collect rent. Then months went buy and still nothin. After 2 years he moved back to N.I for a bit and basically just walked away from the house. He said after that a lot of the Russian gangsters own property and houses in the area and if they are being investigated by the cops they usually just pack up and get out of town. Or if they vanish then perhaps a lot worse. A girl he was friendly with her parents had been living in a housing development for 8 years without paying rent. Same thing, landlord just stopped calling.
