Always liked Russell Martin as a player and when I heard his recent interview my impression of him is of a player who genuinely understands the club and the fans. He would make an excellent future captain, role model and a great spokesperson for the club. After all the recent negativity of Grant Holt wanting a transfer, followed by Paul Lambert leaving for Aston Villa, the interview given by Russell Martin was a real boost for the morale of the fans, players and club.
