Where the fuck is it? There should be one.

Humans were born to run, if it wasn't for marathon running (and the help of prehistoric global warming) we wouldn't be alive.

I demand a forum named "Running" immediately.

We've evolved to the extent that we don't NEED to run anymore. We ran in the past from things like lions and tigers but now we just shoot them or jump in a jeep.

The next step in our evolutionary process is to encase ourselves in a wheeled vehicle and plug ourselves in, Dalek-style. We're already halfway there. Just look along any busy road. Usually one person, ensconced in a metal box on wheels, needing little use of their legs but for pushing a few peddles and walking the short distance from their car to the office door/front door.

What is it then?

I'm not interested in that glory seeking athletics rubbish. I want to talk about proper running, ultrarunning, marathons, half marathons, right down to 5k races, the togetherness and spirit is generates. That kind of stuff.

We didnt run away from Lions and Tigers, we avoided them while chasing down antelopes over the course of 3-4 hours. Humans evolved from the need to run for long periods of time, this was a deciding factor in us becoming superior to the Neanderthals.

The bit in bold is painfully tragic due to it being so true.

Running isn't a sport. It's just a method of transport quicker than walking but slower than cycling.

You do realise Cricket, Darts and Wrestling are listed on this forum?

Oh, and you're so wrong.

There is more skill involved in those 3 than there is in running. To run you just give your legs a bit quicker than when you walk.

I was only joshin anyway <ok>

Technically amateur wrestling is a sport. It just so happens that the Wrestling page is inhabited by closet queers talking about men in pants. <ok>

I did the exact same thing as soon as I mentioned it. They talk about it like it's real <laugh> <laugh>

They were talking about the owner Vince something and how he had fallen out with one of the fighters like they had actually fallen out. How he might not get another big fight <laugh> Grown men probably too.

You've also just proven the need for a running forum, as there's more skill to running than all of those sports put together.[/QUOTE]

Frank. I have never heard such a load of balderdash and bunkem in my life. Running ...Skill...You are a fecking moron.
