The hack that wrote that obviously untrue drivel could do with a cold shower and a slap on the back of the head.
Funny that they should title it 'EXCLUSIVE' because 1) They aren't the first to report it and 2) It's entirely fictional.
I really really really hope the Marin and Barrios rumors are true that would be some coup by the crew! Marin can play wide or inthe whole and Barrios can put a) ball into b) net, on top of linking well with others. Suarez, Marin, Barrios, Bellamy, Gerrard, Kuyt, Downing, Carroll.....now we are talking some depth!
The RUMOR 09.25 GMT: Amazingly, we can confirm that Liverpool did indeed make "tentative enquiries" about swapping Andy Carroll for the one who shall remain nameless. FULL STORY.
Barrios or Marin would be fantastic...but can't see us buying from abroad this late on. Tevez would not want to come to Liverpool.
Nope, but interesting we are looking to get rid of Carroll, good I say, if he doesn't want to be here and give his all for the shirt, wants to go back to the toon and party, be out of the limelight, then so be it.
this tevez thing was on the radio... it is bizarre. 1. if we'd even consider it i would say that we are mad and the same bad error in siging carroll is repeating itself 2. there is no way in my mind that anyone would touch tevez in england as his proven track reocrd is to be a money hungry C**** who will try to move after 12 months. 3. did or did not carroll look like he was up for a game yesterday? would you seriously think he'd be picked if he was to be swapped????
So what? Is the Carroll story legit? I thought it was a load of bollox. I am yet to bother reading any of the stories.
Although I can't see it happening, but I wouldn't mind swapping Carroll for Tevez. People will bang on about Carlos's history but what about Carroll and Bellamy - hardly squeaky clean. Sometimes we just need that real quality regardless of what baggage they bring. Else we will be stuck with hard working functional players like Kuyt. Don't get me wrong, we need players like Kuyt but we also need quality. And the way I see it, is that Tevez won't wanna stay for long so let him play for a season, get us in the Champions League , boost his value and then sell him on.
Anyone else find it very strange that there are games being played on deadline day? Swansea v Chelsea Tottenham v Wigan Wolves v Liverpool Everton v Man City Man Utd v Stoke How would it work? Would today be our deadline day? Can't see us sorting anything out with an away game tomorrow night.
Don't think it'd make any difference. DC will be the one mainly doing transfers anyway (certainly admin etc at the very least) and any transfer decision is hardly gonna hinge on the result of a game against Wolves.
