Sunderland face competition from Liverpool and Nuremberg for FC Zurich striker Admir Mehmedi in the January transfer window. The 20-year-old, who has scored 13 goals in 47 matches for Zurich, is one of Steve Bruce's winter targets but Liverpool have sent scouts to watch him already. Source: Daily Mail ............................... never heard of him but he'd fit in given how non prolific he seem in front of goal
I could handle that. Citeh won't see us as direct competition, it would really piss the mancs off and he'd put 100% effort in. He's horrible, but I'll put up with that
So far, most 'rumours' involve Comolli raiding French Ligue1 sides and our scouts rummaging in South America. As such, I reckon one real rumour is being extended to about a dozen players by lazy hacks and ambitious agents...
Thought I would get this thread going again as we build up to the January transfer window! Source: http://www.mirrorfootball.co.uk/new...buyout-clause-for-AC-Milan-article832093.html In my opinion, â¬6M is a bit low. I think we could sell him for around â¬10M as he seems to be doing well in Milan. But I assume we want him off the wage bill as he doesn't seem to want to come back and play for Liverpool. By the way, i've just done a bit of research and Alberto has played 13 times for them this season in all competitions. This includes 4 times coming off the bench. So I fully expect the clause to be met and Alberto to leave for AC Milan in the summer. Thoughts?
new rumours off the weekend and today(21/11/11.) Liverpool are heading the race for Blackburn Rovers defender Chris Samba, according to The People. PSV Eindhoven playmaker Kevin Strootman is being targeted for transfer by Liverpool, according to the People. Liverpool are said to be keen on Swansea City winger Nathan Dyer and are reportedly preparing an offer in the New Year. Liverpool are set to make a bid for Fiorentina midfielder Riccardo Montolivo this January before the player ends up as a free agent at the end of the season. Liverpool and Arsenal could lead the hunt for Barcelona defender Eric Abidal after the player's agent admitted his client is likely to be leaving Barca at the end of the season. According to various sources in the British media, Liverpool, Arsenal, Everton and Juventus are among the teams battling it out for the signature of Wigan striker Hugo Rodallega. Alberto Aquilani fully expects AC Milan to meet the £5.2million buyout fee Liverpool have included in his season-long loan deal. (gazzetto, 18/11)
Alberto Aquilani fully expects AC Milan to meet the £5.2million buyout fee Liverpool have included in his season-long loan deal. (gazzetto, 18/11) So much for getting a good return on the player, now that he is back in the Italian team and all.....
100% effort until another team came calling Him and Swazza would rip defences apart for fun tho but not gonna happen IMO Hate the bloody transfer windows me I've only just recovered from the last one but I hope we are looking for at least one extra striker. At least we look like we should be in a better position than last year and won't be having to panic buy. Sneaky 8mill bid for Torres anyone???
Well if he was on loan, that wouldn't be an issue. In fact, it would help us. He'd have to be on top form to attract a big club to come in for him in the summer. I don't think we'd be looking to buy him.
I think we are getting robbed blind on this Aqualani deal, 6mil for an Italian international who is what 28? Shocking buisness.
