Definitely still full of Arse and Spuds here but I am increasingly pleasantly surprised by the number of hooped shirts you see at the station on match day. Wasn't that church opposite the notorious gay pub? No wonder you had to move.
I wouldn't consider Watford a rival at all. Chelsea might not give a toss about us (or at least didn't before this season) but I've always felt far more of a rivalry with Brentford, Palace, Luton, Reading and others more than Watford. I wouldn't consider Fulham a rival either such is their irrelevance and desperation for someone to hate them. I'm not saying that people who already support Arsenal, Spurs, Luton or whoever will jump ship to Watford but I think a strong Watford team at the top of the second tier and with the odd season in the prem could get a good level of support from all over Herts and into Bucks over time. They're the archetypal family club and I think that some relative glory would carve out a few gloryhunters for them because of that. The sort of people who go to Fulham now but live more this way.
Meh, I've always seen QPR are a bigger rival than Luton, because personally a lot of relatives and some of my best friends support QPR....so it's that banter. Plus I live in Harrow...so I meet very few Luton fans, though a fair amount of QPR (and Watford) fans. I've never been to a Watford vs Luton game, not had much opportunity...wasn't a season ticket holder back when we got a couple of games against them anyway. But been to loads of Watford vs QPR games....and even been to Loftus road in the home end maybe 50 times
You've got to be under 20, right? Anyone over 20 would know Watford and Luton hate each other in a most un-home counties manner. And if you are under 20 how come you've been in the home end at QPR 50 times? Closet hoop
haha. Being honest, i used to be a Chelsea fan (not supporter), but after 2 years i opened my eyes and welcomed Watford into my life fully lol. However, i will be willing Brum on tonight!!
I am 19. Obviously I know about the rivalry......it's just not something I have experienced at all. Well, like I said...I have lots of relatives and friends who are QPR fans. Childhood friends moved to Norwich and come down for the day a fair amount and I would sometimes tag along to catch up with them, so long as Watford were away to a far away team. Though even when they lived in London I used to go sometimes.....but despite claims I'm not a closet hoops as I see them as rivals and enjoy the banter
Bassini has said about the list of projects that are to be done and that he wants to see their completion during his tenure, so if he were to sell to Paladini, he'd probably make a condition of sale that he has a similar role to that currently occupied by GT, with GT just being honorary life vice-president. I assume GT will still be available as a sounding-board for SD. Would Paladini agree to Bassini being on the board? I doubt it, so to quote a certain tv programme, no deal.
Where the **** would Paladini get the cash to buy a football club from? Can't be his, so must be borrowing from somewhere if this is true. Hope not for Watford's sake.
