Well, it's the final day and still no certainties. Dijks looks probable to replace Olsson, Canos to Brentford for £2.5m also looks probable once Hogan leaves, Wildshut has handed in a transfer request, Burnley are said to still be interested in Brady, but beyond that there's not much beyond vague rumours. Brady is still the principal domino - if he leaves, then we need another LB and WL option, though that is fairly well covered. Canos leaving would make a WR option more urgent behind Jacob and the injury prone Jarvis. Wildshut seems a logical choice, given that he can play WL, WR, or as a striker, but at the current £6m asking price, most of the Olsson and Canos money would be eaten up. Brady staying would mean that we wouldn't need another LB. If Brady leaves, though, we will. There's also our current vulnerability in CM, though Mulumbu returning will ease that concern. It's a complicated, inter-connected puzzle which will take some working out during the next 13 hours.

Here's PD's take on it: http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/...at_the_heart_of_the_transfer_window_1_4869113

Sounds like Rhodes is available from Boro for about 9m. Villa and Wednesday have had bids rejected.

Please Norwich. For the love of god, go and get him! He is a natural proven goal scorer. 9m is not a lot for a goal scoring striker, and it will really p*ss off Ipswich fans!

Rhodes hasn't made much impact at Boro, certainly, with 18 appearances last year and only 6 this year, many of which were as sub. IMO, he wouldn't suit our style of play with lots of mobility in the front 4. I'd rather have Wildshut.

Interesting that Wiki is listing Dijks as our player now.

No one suits our style of play. Not even our players. Maybe signing Rhodes will make AN change that style for something that works!

£6m less than we are getting for Brady. If Brady was as good as some on here appear to believe, teams other than those fighting/ in danger of relegation. Admittedly Burnley don't quite fall into this category, but all other interested parties did, unless they were not even in the PL. Two successive relegations on his CV says he is top championship/lower PL player at best. Dijks and Wildshut replacing Olsson and Brady looks to be pretty good business.

I agree, GE. I like Brady, but we can do a lot with the money we get for him. I suspect the £7m for Wildschut is more like £5m and £2m in add-ons. I also think that Dijks on loan is a coup for a pedigree player who will strengthen us at LB, as well as being able to play as a left-sided CB (he's 6'4" tall). I'd like another LB option so we could use Dijks' versatility.

EDIT: Reports of Liverpool receiving 30% of the Canos fee are false, according to Mark Armstrong of the Pinkun. No sell-on clause.

Villa agree 15m fee for hogan.

Insane.

1) can't believe he is warrenting that fee!

2) how have Villa got all this money, and how are they going to get away with financial fair play?!
