Indeed so.
Dele Alli (though an exception to the rule) is a permanent fixture in the Spurs first team - born April '96.
James Maddison, a city player, but banished for half the season, maybe all(?) to Scotland-born Nov '96!

Says it all really, but then what do we expect when AN says one thing and then does the other????

Tom Ince to Newcastle.

Again, the sides we came down with seem to be flexing their parachute payments and Premiership winnings.

See, that's why I don't get all this dynasty crap.
It's one thing signing young, ambiious players but if they're going to be turfed out on loan or dumped ignominiously on the naughty step (Canos), what's the freakin' point?
Unless Mr A. Neil is graciously sowing the seeds ready for the next Mike Walker to step in and take all the plaudits, like Dave Stringer did?

I think you may well divide everyone with that statement. I am of the belief he could have done a lot more. Jacob has come on leaps and bounds, but after a fairly successful season with MKdons Josh seems to have regressed, with any other youngsters only getting looked at in extreme injury circumstances and then being generally dumped from the team for the next match. In terms of recruitment, he/we have done well to have a number of prospects and a good u23 team, but can any of them play and play well under Neil in the starting XI?

Bah!

IMO, Jacob got his chance, which he took brilliantly, because of the injury to Jarvis, which left little natural competition at WR. Josh, on the other hand is competing with Brady, Naismith, Pritchard and Hoolahan at WL. Thompson broke into the starting line-up and then was injured almost immediately and is still recuperating from that. Godfrey has had two impressive starts in cup games but the team's loss of form made it more difficult to bring in younger players. For me, the reason Maddison was loaned to Aberdeen was so that he could gain the first team experience like the Murphys did on loan last year. The pecking order above him includes Wes, Naismith and Pritchard - quite a challenge for a 19 year old to make. Thompson, Godfrey, Grant, Ramsay and Middleton are getting closer and others are showing promise as well. That's the positive balance for me.

Whilst I agree with what you say Rick, I'm sure the NCFC fans would have been more willing to have 'cut AN a bit of slack' had he AT LEAST tried some of the list above, as opposed to most of the regular first team players who have been around for at least one (or two in several cases!!) relegation.

Brady to Villa? Why the hell would he want to go to a club who are presently worse than us! Even if they were to stump up £12m there is no sense to this deal

We should give him a chance, if AN has done one thing right it was signing Pinto, maybe he knows his fullbacks?

Bah!

Really and that explains Whittaker's contract extension. Law of averages says that if you buy enough decent prospects, sooner of later one will come right. Maybe it's just that Pinto doesn't understand Scottish, so can't be damage by AN's input.

Maybe it's down to ambition, management and because he's just totally f**ked off with the mess our club is in.
