someone said a while ago on old 606 that they had heard we were signing a 'stellar new left back'and now this comes up.... on the case of him i would be ecstatic, great defender but better attacker - one of the best FK takers around and i even watched him last year play for roma against cagliari and he was roma's 2nd best player (after totti) so would walk into most PL teams let alone ours. which is why i struggle to believe it.... still though where would the italians get this goss from if not made at our side of the channel???
Referring to previous rumours that we have to sell Lambert and Lallana in order to buy new players: why sell 2 good players then struggle to find anyone of similar quality to replace them. Usual rubbish.
I think that if we have been in discussion with anyone it could be announced on Friday 1st of July as the international transfer window opens for British Clubs. Although if I'm being honest I still don't think anyones been brought in yet.
Jordan Sibley has said on Twitter 'Busy day tomorrow & press conference in the morning with the gaffer. An update on any potential transfers will be high on agenda #saintsfc' http://twitter.com/#!/jordansibley
Well any news about Ricky leaving are total horse do-do's he is staying until 2014 at least, it must be true it is on the OS.
The picture of himself that Jordan has chosen for twitter is interesting. I wonder what a psychologist would make of it. Trying to look powerful and copying the Don.
Dapper (lovely word, that) was the one that sprung to mind. Clearly a man who takes his matchday outfit seriously!
Nothing will come out as the echo can still print it to try and sell a few more copies! Probably around 4. The day time printers finish around 3-3-30
nice to hear nige himself telling us the actual facts, especially that we have had our bid for jack cork accepted by chelsea!!
Usually if a club is interested at some time the player would have been informed. If he was not interested in moving to saints then would be a waste of time to negotiate a fee. It is true that personal terms would need to be negotiated. Saints will have spoken to his agent once clearance from Chelsea was forth coming. So they would have been given an Idea of what the player would expect that way it doesn't waste time. I do not ever remember a breakdown of negotiations re pay but I guess there can always be first!!
