Bit Harsh calling another fellow supporter a Joke. In all honesty i agree with him. People had more than enough time to get a ST its their own fault. Just seems to me that the people that are complaining now wanted to see what happened at wembley same as most others that queued for 6 hours.

It was always gonna be the case if we got to the prem! Im sorry Phill but as far as i can read here you along with a few others just want the same fanbase as we has in the championship. Quite simply that was never going to happen and if you did think any different then.... well.... your a joke mate! lol:emoticon-0150-hands

I admit there are some REAL fans, but less than 1000. Just look back 10 years. The ones that were there than and are here now are more real than the ones who joined a few years ago when the Swans started moving up the table.

Explain to me what you mean by REAL? Some fans are more committed than others but that doesn't make them more REAL.

Exactly how many fans have had season tickets for each of the last 10 years. I bet it's very few indeed. That means that over 95% must be plastic.

Obviously there are some differences, but your definition of real v plastic seems to be that plastic are the one that started going to matches very recently, maybe play-offs onwards. What about the fans that started going to matches in League One? Are they plastic.

Please clearly state your definitions for both and I may agree with you on some points. But you definitions so far are just too vague to be meaningful. So, what exactly do you mean?

And what is a fan. Even the plastics (as you call them) support the Swans. What exactly do you want? Would you rather that the Swans had just 1,000 REAL fans turning up to each match. I just don't understand where you're going with all this or what you expect to happen, or would like to happen.

How did they get screwed!? Because they didn't take the initiative and get a ticket before Wembley!? if they were "REAL" fans as Phil says then they should have purchased one as soon as they were available should they not?

Not at all, but it's no secret that we at Swansea have some of the most fickle fans, regarding attendance in the country, but Bangkok I've previously clearly stated what a plastic fan is, he's the individual, who has never set foot in the liberty, and as soon as we come back down, you will not see him for dust, I know been here before, with the Toshack era! By the way, my apologise Bangkok, I've changed the wording..............

Anyway piontless debating this, we will go round in ever decreasing circles!.............

No apology necessary - it's only football banter.

Totally agree about ever decreasing circles.

Sorry phil that is crap, back to my scenario, family man goes to say 10 home games with his mates in the last few years, he decides £300 for a season ticket is a bargain, and thinks well I got missus and kids they follow the swans but never been, with the kids offer he decides let's make it big day out and get all tickets for them, £1000 pounds just spent!

Now you are saying not only are they plastic, but they shouldn't get tickets because some real fan wanted those seats, basically your whole argument is garbage, real fans whatever that means had a chance over 3 whole months to buy a ticket, the swans put articles up saying tickets are selling well, and these real fans did nothing, sorry but they only have themselves to blame

The real fans had plenty of time to buy their tickets before the play-off final. Why didn't they buy when they had the chance?

Maybe solution is to increase the capacity of the stadium. Probably easier said than done though.

Probably 9,000 bought 4,000 tickets in pieces the last few seasons . If not for them , only 9,000 regular season ticket holders would have been watching the Swans play when we REALLY needed the money in the Championship . Once we were up , season tickets should have been limited to 12,000 & people on the inside should have sat down & figure out how spread the rest around . Instead , it appears , insiders had other ideas , hope there was only one grabbing 50 . When it comes to season tickets , I just wish they never " Sold Out "

I have been a season ticket holder for 5 years and purchased mine two days before the playoff final. It used to be pointless having a ST at the Vetch because it was cheaper to pay on the day for the limited amount of games I could get to. In the new stadium though we've had them so we can have regular seats, plus it actually works out cheaper considering my brother has only just turned 16 and had a cheap ticket.

I had no problem renewing my ticket and fail to see why any season ticket holders would have failed to renew either given that they had three months to do so. The newcomers always knew it would be first come first served for the extra ST's, and anyone who didn't expect us to sell so many season tickets just didn't do the Maths - 15.5k average attendance last year meant that we were always likely to sell out each game. If people wanted to hope we'd leave 4-5k tickets for on the door sale then they gambled and lost.

I just don't see why all the surprise about it all. In a general sale it's always those who come first can buy tickets first - and the 'three per person' rule has been in place for years.

It's not a matter of " Everyone had time " to buy season tickets IMO . For thousands of good Swan fans , whom it wasn't practical to buy Season tickets but were instrumental for those 4 to 5 thousand tickets worth of extra cash in the Championship when ticket money was more important , I am truly gutted . Not trying to cause anything , I just feel these " Part Time " fantastic fans deserved better , that's all .

Why should they leave a third of the ground for tickets on the day? Really we are football fans, we know the 10% rule, it's obvious that there will be huge demand, you would have to be blind and stupid not to realise that tickets were selling fast, they even sold tickets in the away end to accommodate people, so an extra almost 2k were made available, if the away team don't sell the allocation I can see more home fans being there.

I have said it 3 years ago that the liberty is not big enough, if we were selling out in the last couple of seasons it would have been extended, we as swans fans are to blame for that, if they built the stadium like MK dons one we could simply add more seats, bloody short sighted numpty idiots are responsible for a limited stadium.

3 years ago , Liberty was plenty big . And out of the 15,000 tickets per game , a third were people buying non season tickets in pieces . It would have been the same this season if we weren't promoted . From 9 ,000 ( I think ) season tickets to 16,000 season tickets without any control
over who bought them , isolated a lot of dedicated , part time fans out of the picture . Ticket sales should have been suspended after Wembley & a plan thought out before the " Cyberthon " . I do worry about what happened behind closed doors after Wembley & before the queue fiasco . I also wonder how many regular season ticket holders , who didn't get season tickets , never bought on line before . People who can't come up with the money right away aren't stupid , they just don't have instant money like .... others

Plenty of control breezy, but come on, people are football fans, they know the 10% rule, obviously reaching the premier league is going to have a massive effect on sales, people had 3 months to buy tickets, and lot of people did, a lot of those people who bought individually last season are now season ticket holders.

There is no way tickets should have been suspended, how do you think the club actually had the funds to pay bonuses , brought in Graham and looking to bring other in? We need the cash injection to compete!

And mate, I am calling these people stupid, stupid for not taking up an offer in March of bargain tickets with a voucher, that could be spread out over the season on finance, and a lot of people took the offer up, the people who bought tickets are in the same boat in general as others, they are all not millionaires and have huge disposable incomes, they are just people who wanted to follow the swans!
