Was expecting something to be announced by now after the rumours going round last night. Either statement he's gone or something to say he's still here
If I had to guess I'd say still here. If he has gone though it's going to be a hard sell to the next bloke!
Dodds til the summer is the most likely and probably sensible option now. It would take some big cajones for someone to take the job just now.
I'd be amazed if he's gone (unless he's resigned as some are suggesting) because this is Speakman's pick and he'll be throwing everything at it to make him a success. Unless KLD has stepped in and pulled the trigger (in which case Speakman will be a goner too)
Only way I see him being gone is if the players and coaching staff have highlighted issues beyond the results. As I think they would give it a bit longer on the results alone!
Also if its true then I think we need to give KLD and KS a bit of credit for realising that it's not working our how they wanted and admit it early, to correct things. However it will just fuel more ammunition to claim how they don't know what they are doing. Everyone makes mistakes, rectifying the problem as quickly as possible is what successful people do
They need to grab the bull by the horns and sort stuff out asap. Have the balls to admit the mistake with Beale. Dodds til the summer. Get the new man lined up, and do it properly this time. They need to admit the model needs a tweak to be successful on the pitch as well, and that they're willing to do that. And they can top it off by getting rid of Davison as well after the off-field shambles. Attempt to wipe the slate clean and buy a little goodwill with some humility.
