Sobbered up now. As I argued last night, it may appear that I was gloating, but in all honesty, I wasn't guys. The yeehaa part was shouting about the fact we are fourth in the world rankings. The "Two places ahead of them" part was merely saying that we were two places ahead of a team/nation that has ALWAYS been a rugby force. So, if you still see my post as gloating, see it that way, it won't bother me anymore. At the end of the day, I know it wasn't, though it may appear to have been (I did say I was rather drunk) and looking back I can see what you mean. So apologies for the misunderstanding. FYI, I will continue to wish ENgland all the best in further competitions......IF Wales go out before them.
Actually I feel quite relieved that England are out. The whole tournament we were like a injured animal which needed putting out of the it's misery, you feel sad it's happened but you know it's the right thing and relieved i don't have to watch that dross anymore.
Guys Roland is a pretty experienced ref. He has a solid reputation and likes to try and let the game flow. France have being complaining of communication issues with some refs and perhaps he was appointed because he can speak fluent french. I can see no reason why he would favour either team as the worlds media / supporters will be watching and his reputation would be destroyed if he showed favour to either team. His handling of this match may decide if he gets the final or not. Lets hope he has a good game and the players decide who wins this match.
Aussies look like the fullback (beale) is out, oconnor back to fullback, barnes to the centres maybe, two very hard matches to predict, wales and france are on a roll, aussies and nz both struggling with injuries latest odds New Zealand $1.65 Australia $4.50 France $8.50 Wales $6.50 19:00 | Wales v France Wales 1.73 France 2.09 Sunday 16/10/2011 Includes ET if required New Zealand v Australia New Zealand 1.40 Australia 3.05 dunno if agree with those odds, would have france and wales a lot tighter to win the thing
Tuilagi is a moron. Got arrested yesterday for jumping from a ferry. As if the team hadn't embarrassed themselves enough already.
An Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman are all sitting in a pub drowning their sorrows, there wasn't a Welshman there BECAUSE WALES ARE STILL IN THE RUGBY WORLD CUP!!!!! Couldn't resist it. Come on the Taff Army!!!!!!!!!!
All Blacks legend Colin Meads has backed New Zealand and Wales to win their World Cup semi-finals and set up a dream final at Eden Park. Meads, voted the greatest player in his country's history, will be in Auckland to watch both semis. "France are so unpredictable, but on present form I'd back Wales," he told BBC Sport. Meads, 75, said he had been particularly impressed by the form of Welsh fly-half Rhys Priestland and 19-year-old wing sensation George North. "A lot of these Welsh were unknown to us before this World Cup, and we're surprised how young they are and what they are achieving," he said. "The young 10 [Priestland] looks pretty neat, and that fella North is going to be one hell of a player. He's tearing the world apart."
rugby is an unpredictable game and any of the 4 teams left in can win....everyone of the teams has had an off day and that happens for any number of reasons that you cant put your finger on, It is who can keep their nerve and keep their discipline throughout the both games. I think NZ will be favorites but only because they are on home turf and the other three are all the same odds.....I will be obviously hoping wales will win and if they don't then it has been a cracking world cup anyway and we will welcome all the rugby nations to wales for the next world cup where we all will do battle again...
what was the last thing johnson said as the english took to the pitch against france. aisle or window seat
2 days to go fella's. Even if we fail to beat France, we can hold our heads high as a nation. We were not expected to get this far with such a young, inexperienced squad but we have beaten all expectations and to lose in the semi would'nt be disastrous, although I do fully back us to win. So, come on guys. Win it for Wales.
a crappy french team beat an even crappier english (in name only) team. if wales cant hammer the french then they are not the team everyone seems to think are so great. come on wales (not something i am likely to say too often)
Priesty will be a blow for us musty. I do not like Hook playing 10!! He always tries to throw a miss pass and it will get intercepted and cost us points! I would gone for Jones to start and bring Hook on after an hour.
