Joubert has had a lot of stick for running straight off at the end and not shaking the hands of the players! http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p035krs0
Posted this on 6th Oct, I should back my judgement more regularly, the bookies got away with it. I did the same on here last year in the Football World Cup...
I see that World Rugby has come out and stated that the correct decision should have been a scrum to Australia due to the initial knock on and that Joubert could not refer the the TMO as their regulations do not cover such incidents. Consequently he had to base the decision on what he believed he saw in real time, hence the penalty award........sadly for the Scots this one will have to be filled under "human error".......
Goldie what are you suggesting? Surely you can't mean a conspiracy can you? Actually in a way I feel a tad sorry for the ref as he has been hung out to dry by World Rugby....who needs enemies eh?
Brave performance from the Boks, but the All Blacks just move up a gear and create a 10 point swing in 10 minutes. When they have a man in the bin. Not over yet, 20-15 All Blacks. More great stuff in this competition. Finished 20-18, but didn't feel as close as that, NZ looked in control second half after a below par, penalty ridden first half. That's what a world class coach and experienced players will do for you. Plus a couple of rugby geniuses of course.
Massive first ten minutes in the second half, NZ turned the screw despite playing six minutes with 14 men, you'd never have known watching it and once ahead you always felt they were bossing the game. It wasn't pretty but the stakes are too high for the flash stuff...
Only saw a few minutes of the 2nd half when the Boks got back to within a couple of points then gave away a stupid penalty from the kick off....... Conditions looked pretty unpleasant which didn't help...... Fancy the Argentinians might just spring a surprise tomorrow they will be the underdogs so have absolutely nothing to fear.......should be a belter of a game...
Dear Sir, Mr Tramore Ranger, Mr Mod I might add, one hell of a nice chap if you ask me .................. hope your blooody wrong!!!!!
Just heard Jeff Probyn on the radio saying that the All Blacks have cut down the amount of time they spend in the gym building muscle by 25% so they can focus on speed, flexibility and skill. They still look pretty huge, and very fit, to me, but that sounds like a positive approach in my view. Apparently won't happen here because in club rugby, with less skillful players, size is king. What a shame. Also McCaw may be cited and banned from the final for using his elbow and giving a SA forward 14 stitches as a result.
Here we go, based on what I saw in the pre match stuff on Gus Pichot, I'm all for the Argies. Sorry Aussie. Oops, two interceptions in the first minute, second one results in an Oz try. Argies need to learn the difference between 'open' and 'loose'.
It will be one hell of a story in Argentina win today.......sorry Aussie but following their magnificent display against Ireland last week I'm supporting the underdog today.....
Ouch, come on Argies, focus! Aussies big in the tackle and with a very high defensive line, Argies trying to run but can't get anywhere or keep possession.
The beeb live text page has just posted a selfie taken by Zareta the West Ham player who was criminally ignored by us last season whilst on loan showing his ticket for todays game, although it's not clear it looks like it cost over £500.....gulp.... Pumas in trouble all ready.....
Was that Maradona in the stadium? Right size to play hooker in the thirds nowadays. Pumas really suffering here, Aussies making sure they don't get to play. Sounds like the crowd is behind the Pumas too.
