Fiji are a decent team, but England have a lot of handling errors and the scrum is a mess. Good that we aren't starting against the Aussies or Welsh..... ****ing Inverdale already patronising the viewers at half time.
Watching TV3 our equivalent of Channel 5.......the coverage isn't bad and Stuart Barnes is co-commentator.....
England just need to get through this game with a win and no major injuries. Very nervy at times with poor handling and a very suspect scrum! We have to play an awful lot better than this to get out of this group!
'The put-in at the scrum may not have been entirely straight' No, it wasn't 'entirely straight', it was entirely crooked - they all are!
Twickenham has gone deathly quiet as Fiji are getting on top. This could be the end of England's World Cup.
Just back from a quick pint at the pub, very nervy in there. Looks like England have the bonus point which could be critical in this group. Big wake up call.
I have tried but I don't understand this game. in my bit of France Rugby is king but I just don't get it Just turned on ITV and every company is trying to attach themselves to this tournament What is going on? It's looks like chaos
What? Honestly does anyone really understand this game? Its complete nuts I am not sure anyone knows what is happening
Phew!! England got out of jail thanks to some big impacts from the replacements and Mike Brown. Scrum and breakdown pretty poor at times. The bonus point for that last try could be very important. Huge credit must go to Fiji who were immense. Unfortunately that is probably their cup final and they won't be that effective again.
Agree.....it's just British Bulldog. A pile of blokes in a heap looking for an odd shaped ball. and when they find it, they chuck it away again.
With respect Odders, I've noticed that to be a bizarre trait among people who're new to a game. They presume those who watch and play it don't understand it either!! Wats was at that regarding another sport recently. Its strange the way the human brain tries to rationalise one's own ignorance sometimes. Anyway, unlike Soccer, Rugby's small nations may as well not be at the World Cup because its extremely rare that there's an upset. They might bash into you for 60-odd minutes and leave you with plenty of cuts and bruises but in the end they nearly always get routed.
