Off Topic Rugby Union World Cup 2015 Thread

Thanks. I've done quite well on this on the handicaps mostly on the minnows. Australia scored more points than anyone has so far and still lost on the handicap which suggests the bar was too high though it was almost spot on. Need Romania to get within 42 and Watford to do something to finish up for the day but I'm surprised at how much I've enjoyed the rugby overall and itv are good at explaining things for those of us who aren't connoisseurs

 

The other groups are so ridiculously easy for the top sides.

 

I'm currently watching the Watford v Palace match and am also growing into the Rugby World Cup - as someone else mentioned, something to take our minds off our dismal R's well into October. Along with Leeds we seem to have assumed mid-table mediocrity.

Looks rough but we've had 3 years to prepare for it. And will smack of sour grapes if that is our excuse if we don't qualify, especially with home advantage. Just have to beat the Aussies next week and hope that their failure to get the bonus point against Samoa ****s them up. We have to beat a couple of southern hemisphere teams at some stage, might as well start soon.

Or Nuts could be right (and I suspect he knows a lot more about this game than I do) and England may not be ready for this.

Agree with NUTS, Ireland are definitely better squad-wise and I think they'll be the 6 Nations best bet to get furthest...

Expect Ireland to run in another 2 or 3.

 

Col, we had the sh1te end of the stick at the last two world cups. It makes a massive difference to the unlucky teams. Teams are bound to pick up additional injuries in tougher matches.
