This was always the end game for Duchatelet, correctly identified from Day 1 by @iwantatakeover.

Sweat the assets, and then sell them. Then rapidly lose interest once the cupboard is bare. Didn't the same happen at Ujpest?

By any reckoning, RD has made £4m minimum on net transfers this summer if Pope and JBG do join Burnley this week.

He's always done the same. He got £3mill or so for Joe Gomez. Where did all that money go? Certainly weren't on quality players like Powell brought in when we sold Carl Jenkinson.

I reckon they're doing some dodgy tax thing. Hoping that Brexit has ****ed up his plans for the club, that he just pisses off and sells

    The Strategy:

    1. Sell everything that commands a fee, and pocket the money.

    2. Replace them with free transfer, low cost, lower league sh1t.

    3. Hope nobody notices.

Odds on KM saying that the fans hated Pope in October and forced him out, when Roland the great saw the potential (£) in him?

Better odds that we are mid table in November, Slade is on the ropes, and Meire says "we underestimated the strength of League One but will learn from our mistakes"

Will be interesting to read the posts again from when he took over. I mentioned that someone (PE) thought it was a 3 year thing by RD. Hoping that's still accurate

Could be worse, he could leave it to his illegitimate daughter, KM, then we are doubly ****ed.
