He is on a hiding to nothing, I don't think he's cut out for the England job he couldn't handle the clique at Liverpool Gerrard etc. so handling the even worse one at England will be a bridge too far for him. See Gerrard has come out and said Hodgsons time at Liverpool was strange as he wasn't given a chance by both players and fans. Now he cannot do anything about the fans we all expect the best but, surely as team captain he could have sorted out the players. Sounds like he is trying to keep his place in the England set up going.
