Danny 'hat-trick' Hollands likely to be the first one signed up <ok>

An end of season goal-fest that we should have won....their first two goals were poor from our point of view....the third well sruck but again it came as a result of a corner that wasn't cleared properly. 2 pts dropped that would have seen us 9th......that said some real positives.....Holmes was outstanding today as was Hollands...Taylor again showing what a very good link up forward he is. I think with a few additions maybe 3 or 4 and some releases we should be aiming for a top 10 finish next season. PUP

Top 10!! You nearly got there this time round after the Barker debacle!!! I hope you guys finish inside the top 7 next time round at least!! Having said that teams like Tranmere do bounce around in the lower leagues so expect them to be right up there next season. Carlisle who knows. As recent results have shown, Pompey should at least be the equal of anyone else so have faith in your team.

Ides I have faith but this season has been a bit of a wake up call really....it's a tough league....so yes play-offs would be fantastic but I'm gonna go into summer with a quiet hope of that we just come up on the outside and sneak in. We have a good manager at the helm who clearly has galvanised the team - if that continues into August who knows.

End to end stuff ! We deserved to win, after an excellent second half performance. Rickie Holmes was magnificent, Plymouth's defence struggled to contain him.

Danny Hollands didn't put a foot wrong in midfield, he was superb, topped by a well deserved hat trick. He has the knack of being in the right place at the right time. What other clubs will now be alerted by his performances ? Sign him up quick Awfs !!

What a little tiger Wes Fogden is - 100% effort for the entire match. I wasn't too sure about him when we first signed him from the Cherries, but he is some player. What he lacks in size, he makes up for in sheer effort and ability.

Finally, great to see Terry "Far Post" Brisley come onto the pitch. I remember him well from our last stay in the old 4th Division all those years ago. What a player he was <ok>

I remember those days!! Quality team with the midfield contributing quite a few goals that season.

Yep - Terry Brisley and Joe Laidlaw both scored a hatful of goals from midfield that season, Ides <ok>

Pompey Player dropped while I was listening to the match so clicked over to the Plymouth commentary, just in time to hear their commentators advising everyone to place a bet on Pompey winning the title next season <laugh>

    The hyperbole is beginning already!

Hopefully these last couple of draws will act as a reality check and make everyone realise there's still a lot of work to be done if not to end up the same situation as last autumn (scoring a lot but conceding a lot)

See what you are saying Lapras, but this is a different "kettle of fish" with Awfs in control. He is totally different manager from Guy and "the muppet" who followed him. Awfs has man management to his credit.

His only signing so far (on loan) is Danny Hollands - and what a signing he has turned out to be. Awfs now has the summer to seek out and sign his own choice of player for next season. With hopefully his back room staff in place, and a new academy manager appointed, it should be full steam ahead <ok>

Being an ex defender himself; and a very polished one at that; he will know what needs doing to strengthen the back four. Just a question of selecting the right type of player that he can work with.

There was a time last season when Barker was manager, and we were heading for an almost certain relegation from the Football League, when I had decided that the likelihood of me renewing my Season Ticket for next season, was as remote as the UK winning the Eurovision Song Contest.

Now "Muppet Boy" has gone and Awfs is in charge, the future is good, the future is exciting.

Can't wait for the start of next season.

Does that mean we're going to win Eurovision?

Here's our song, you be the judge!

I must say, I quite like it. I bet it's one of those songs which sounds great live as it has such a resonance and power, and it's certainly our best song in years.

Also, I like the repeated use of the phrase Power to the People.... is Molly a Pompey fan?!
