That 50/1 winner in the first yesterday was nearly a second faster than Bow Echo, level weights. Would be interesting to know how that would look taking account of wfa

You are probably on the wrong thread for that discussion, but the fast times so far this week are almost all due to the way that the races have been run with far too much pace early in the race, especially in the big fields on the straight course. They did show a graphic on ITV showing the finishing speeds of the winners in the last two furlongs on Wednesday and the slowest winner was Victorius in the Queen Mary because she stayed on from the rear past a load of fillies that were stopping in front.

Absolutely right. The judgement of pace by modern jockeys has to be seen to be believed.
Also should be said the 3yo race was on the round course.

Somebody go and look at the rule book for this competition. If you had the withdrawn horse in the first then you cannot have the favourite as a substitute as it was the withdrawn horse. <laugh>

After getting off an 18/1 winner yesterday, I have stuck with my initial picks today including taking a chance on a filly in the Coronation Stakes at a big price for a place as it will pay better than either Ballydoyle filly for the win.
