I suspect the only Comolli signing we have made since Kenny took over is Suarez Comolli spent 6 six months last season scouting mainland europe , for us to sign NO ONE from mainland europe in the summer The blame from the dodgy summer transfers lies at Kennys door ps Comolli spoke to Matas dad (agent ) twice, in Madrid and Valencia............ for us NOT to sign him We have scouted Hazard,Eriksson,Gotze,Muniain,Cavani,Inler,Martinez,Verthonghen,Sissoko,Lucas Moura,Gaston R,M'Vila,Wolfswinkel,Lavezzi. So we are looking at the right players, we are just not signing them, we for some reason................. are signing mediocre Brits instead
It seems to have passed him by that Chelsea are 21 points off top spot in the Prem and 26 off the relegation places.
Isn't that like winning the lottery and then buying a ford focus for £6m, thus blowing the wind fall. I think you had a big chance with the torres money (well done on that btw) but you then blew it by spending it on lower level prem players. No idea why. Very wierd business. Summary: On the sales side I give you 9/10. On the buying side 3/10 Gotta give you props on the sales side which shows the business skills of the people in charge. But the buying side shows that kenny/scouts are out of touch with football.
And whats your assessment of the 2nd longest serving manager in the Prem taking his team to a massive 15 points from top spot in the table despite having millions to spend yet not spending it?
Arsenal invincibles the best team to ever grace English football? Ha! Try the teams who have won the league and european cup in the same season first.
Just stating my opinion. No need to turn it into an arguement. I wasn't even critising your club. Your sales have been fantastic. We need to do this next summer with the same efficiency. However, in general, you have wasted the money in a way even man city didnt under hughes.
Dalglish has been back here almost a season and a half,he'll have one full year of his contract left at the end of this season,if our owners dont like what he did with the transfer funds so far they'll sack him,if however they let him see his contract out they'll give him money to spend and expect outgoings this summer. We have been work in progress since H&G almost put us out of business and thats it really.
1. cpol = asshole for old 606... still one. 2. lets sack a manager every year and see if it works better for us than it did for every other reactionary side... like chelsea who despite being the richest club i nthe league for a while are now also rans who don't have acup on the side baord this year. 3. amazing who city have taken 4 years to get where they are yet we seem to have no patience....
Haha I prefer looking at we replaced a past-it striker on crap form for 2 years with a young prospect and come out with a profit. Chelsea were prepared to offer us whatever Carroll cost us + 15mill ontop. Their problem, not ours and certainly not mine. I'm not complaining about it. I liked your analogy though ^^
You pretty much sold Torres for £25m as no one would pay more than £10m, for Carroll. That's not great business.
Comolli has a scatter gun approach to signing players, he will sign a few good ones but also waste lots of money on over rated rubbish. For example, at Spurs Comolli was responsible for the arrival of the likes of Gomes, Bentley, Alan `The White Cafu` Hutton, Corluka, Pavlyuchenko to name a few, and all for plenty of money. Personally I am glad he is no longer in charge of our transfers and good riddance.
No new stadium (You couldn't even get the free one!!), an owner who plays real life championship manager - and speaking of managers, yours.... well, you don't have one Again
http://www.caughtoffside.com/2012/0...ings-analysed-and-future-prospects-discussed/ According to this article, and it looks well researched for a change, net spend is actually £44mil - Makes it a little better to digest. I also feel that we are, in general, playing better football than we have for some time. The best form of defense is attack. Unfortunately our front line seem to be a little shy in front of goal. Maybe this will come good with time, maybe they need a good kick up the arse - This would only be achieved by buying in a couple more players. A striker, or play Raheem in some games to give him the confidence to kick forward - Or we face losing him in the summer. I personally think Hendo has added something to the team already and we look pretty decent with him in the team ahead of Adam. All in all, I think if KK gets another transfer window and another season, we'll break back into the top four at get our place in Europe. I think the problem with todays gane is that it is no longer about what goes on, on the pitch but more to do with the business side of it. SAF won nothing in his first 5 years at OT and I think people need to start looking at KK as a new manager, and not someone who has come back in from the cold. He's won us the CC (despite what some people say about this, you still have to beat teams to win it) and we're off to Wembley again for the SF of the FA cup - Is this really a bad season for a 'new' manager. I'm also tired of the Roy Hodgson nonsense. The guy claimed a defeat to our neighbours was the best we'd played. He also stated that he would be powerless to stop Torres joining MU if they cam in for him. Maybe that would have been the case, but you really on your manager to have some backbone which Hodgson didn't - He had to go and I for one don't care what the hacks say about us calling out KK's name whilst Hodgson was still in charge. They did exactly the same with Redknapp whilst Fabio was in charge of England and did the same again with AVB at Chelsea so all in all, I think we are on the right course to where we want to be.
No,unlike you I am a realist and I know we've been **** and I'm not trying to cover it up by discussing kit deals....like your manager ffs.
Sacking all those managers and we're still the 2nd most successful club during that time. You're about 6th so yep,it does work.
Your club are on the slide mate, thats the reality your hiding from yourself. Your not good enough to win the Prem not good enough to win the CL,you've had more managers in the last few years than The Rovers Return. Your most influential players are to old to hack it every week in the top flight. If you want to brag about your team of also rans knock yourself out kidda.
As you never answered my question on the other post, I'll put it on this one "How many shares do you own in the pitch down at the shed CPofL? Are you one of those holding back the club moving to improve the ground capacity Ergo hindering any hopes of succeeding in the fair play ruling due to be implemented? Maybe you should be campaigning on your own board about the very same topic instead of trying to ruffle feathers on ours mate!"
