It's interesting how we gravitate towards dark figures in virtual realms, but then when said Mafia Don makes his way through to our little reality, we seethe and hiss with yellow moral outrage. Keane is a real "mafia don", bow to him if you like that **** otherwise.
Surely better for people to act out their dark side vicariously through an imagined character rather than in real life?
Keano wants a straightener with Fergie. [h=1]Roy Keane says Sir Alex Ferguson wrong to criticise former players[/h] Roy Keane says ex-Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was wrong to criticise his former players in his autobiography and would not be afraid "to have a go at him" if the two met. Ferguson discussed differences with ex-United players Keane and David Beckham in the book published last year. Keane left Old Trafford in November 2005, after falling out with Ferguson. "I felt it was a bit harsh to criticise me or other players," Keane, 43, told Football Focus. "We did OK for the club, had a bit of success, won a few trophies, and here is the manager criticising us all. "A manager who has made millions of pounds out of us, got statues and stands named after him, and he thinks he can criticise us without anybody saying anything to him because he thinks he's got all this power. "I thought, 'No, why should we sit back and listen to this nonsense?'" please log in to view this image Sir Alex Ferguson and Roy Keane helped Manchester United to seven Premier League titles In his book, Ferguson claimed Irishman Keane, who played a key role in the club's success during his 12-year stay at Old Trafford, became an increasingly negative influence. Keane said he was not sure if he could ever forgive Ferguson for the comments and added that he would not be frightened to say what he thought to his former manager, should they meet again. He added: "Truthfully, I'd probably have a go at him. Yeah, why not? "What would I say? Why are you talking nonsense about us, talking rubbish about me and other lads who have done well? "He'd probably defend himself, take a running jump as you'd expect. But I don't see why we should just accept it - it was all about power and control for him. "I'm 43 years of age - am I supposed to be frightened of him? You've got to take them on. Football is a small world, so I'm sure we'll cross each other, and I look forward to it."
Keano is a legend. In my opinion the best midfielder the PL has seen. Sadly I think he's lost the plot. I don't doubt there's a lot of truth in his updated autobiography but arguably it could have been condensed into one line: "ultimately, you're all ****s". Everything's a rant and Fergie is his ultimate target. Apart from one good Championship season with Sunderland Keano was a terrible manager, maybe his approach to management isn't quite as effective as Fergie's? He's currently an assistant manager for two teams and is sporting a beard that suggests he's contemplating a life on the streets. Bonkers.
So because you doubt him being honest he isn't? Ain't seen any of those mentioned in the book making counter claims or threatening legal action, did you have the same opinion of Ferguson when he settled a few scores with Keane and others from utd and made some uncalled for comments on players from another club in his last book published? He's as entitled to his opinion as anyone else, even Ferguson.
You have to have a very childlike view of teams if you believe that they all 'love' each other and are bestest mates! After all professional football is a job like any other. When you go to work you have to work alongside a mixture of characters, some you like and others you don't but you have to find a way of working together to make the whole organisation work. After all you spend more time with the people at work than you do with your own family!! So why are supporters so surprised when former players ultimately 'dish the dirt'? It's only Keane's opinion anyway.
Fergie's book was dull. Did you read it? The only person he really ripped into was Keane and that was because the guy went postal and laid into his team mates in an interview (at a time when his performances for the team had dipped dramatically). A few United players have been critical of Fergie but most are supportive as they appreciate that his methods were designed to make him and them winners. There aren't many people queuing up to stand alongside Keane. By the way, I said "I don't doubt there's a lot of truth" in Keane's autobiography so am not sure what you've based the first line of your post on.
Anyone reckon Keane arse raped Fergie in front of the other players? They're both prick's, quality at what they did but prick's all the same. End of.
Keane will never be a top manager Why the beard of course Never mind buying crap Ireland players and lads he played with f that The press will publish tramp pics and ridicule him the moment villa do supplant lambert with the chump
You gently sweep away Fergie's crass comments and him hanging out United's dirty washing for all to see but you have a problem over Keane doing likewise. Your ex manager did a hatchet job on Jordan Henderson and Steven Gerrard and had a lot to say about Kenny Dalglish regarding the Suarez/Evra row, yet he knew **** all about what happened behind closed doors in our dressing room or the reasons behind Dalglish's stances on the issue. None utd supporters view Ferguson in a different light than you fellers, fair enough he was successful but he was also the biggest **** in the English game and got away with many things due to his status, so its about time someone kicked his smug arse and fair play to Keano for doing it.
I think Keane is making himself look like a bitter t**t. I take no pleasure in that as he is one of United's greats. Did you read Fergie's book?
Keane offered islamic state manager job what a beard if I saw him outside tesco id throw him a euro ... legend who doesnt give a ****
its all fake.. he cares deeply what people think or he'd not write a book. saddam hussain head on him.
