You can't argue with the stats, Suarez only scores against the weaker teams, unlike RVP who's a difference maker in big games. Suarez has played plenty of games for Liverpool as a lone striker, though he does drop deeper when Sturridge is there, but he still plays as a forward/2nd striker, whatever you wanna call it
What is also obvious is that he changed completely his MO of refreshing and renewing the squad periodically, instead allowing the last few years for it to age and go stale. Did he just feel like a change, do this on purpose? No, it's because he was starved of cash by the Glazers.
What reason would Fergie have to cozy up to them exactly? To protect the club? They would never have sacked him and they essentially give him full control of the club. If its because they paid him loads then doesnt that bring into question fergies real view and stance on the club.
How do you know they would never have sacked him? I really would love to know where you get your inside info from. You are telling me that if he'd have come out and said that the takeover was not good for the club and he was opposed to the whole take over they wouldn't have ousted him? Otherwise, how do you explain that for the last five years of his reign he decided to do the absolute opposite to what he had done for the previous twenty, and allowed the likes of Scholes, Giggs, Ferdinand to age before our eyes without buying similar quality replacements, instead buying cheaper versions in the hope they came good. Most didn't. Anderson has never replaced Scholes for instance, Nani and Bebe have never replaced Giggs and Ronaldo, Smalling has never replaced Ferdinand and Buttner or Fabio will never replace Evra. These are just examples. We're buying cheap, sub standard replacements for legends. The Glazers are ****ing the club over royally.
Total agreement with you there... The f**king greedy Glazers have screwed the club from day 1. How they seized a stable and profitable club by piling massive debts mortaged on the clubs assets is a huge scandal, that would not have happened in any other country. Would the Germans or Spanish have allowed their top clubs to be seized in that way? Anyone with half a brain can see that the players we bought in the last 5 years RVP aside do not compare with those bought by the Chavs and City. We have fallen way behind in spending terms all the other top 5 clubs (City, Chavs, Arsenal, Spurs, Scousers). I did not need the papers to tell me that. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...paying-the-price-for-the-Glazer-takeover.html
I seriously doubt they would have sacked Fergie. Just my opinion on the matter. He could have shat in their mouths and kept his job. Im just wondering why Fergie never slated them and why he hasnt since. Fergies hands have often been tied by whoever our owners are. Its not as if he has always bought who he wants, theres a long list of failed transfers long before the glazers. People need to accept we are not a sugar daddy club. Not that we are in a better situation.
Liverpool havebmade 3 good signings in about a decade. Arsenal have signed nobody of note until ozil. Chelsea have spent less than us on some players but they have got a better player. Citu are just ****s. Dont even know why you are concerned with them.
?? Liverpools transfer policy in recent times has been dreadful. Chelsea have signed many players for less than we have paid or close to that have turnes out better. Arsenal have barely signed anyone in recent times. City have an owner worth 400billion. So why concern ourselves with them right now. Given a free reign theres little we can do to compete in the market. All im saying is not every great signing costs a fortune and not every club outspends us. You say im talking **** yet theres a number of posters on here desperately trying to blame anyone but moyes. Literally anyone but moyes. Pathetic if you ask me as are all the bullshit reasons. Acting as if United are different to other clubs and only united go through these things. Well we are not the only club with questionable owners nor are we the only club changing its manager after a long time. We are also not the only club constantly out done in the market by the money clubs and we are notnthe only club that suffers injuries and suspensions. We are the only club thats collapsed, we play some of the worst football in the league and weve spent over 60million since the summer yet still play terrible football. How any of this is the glazers or fergies fault as suggested by some is ****ing madness. The ones at fault for our poor season are the coaching staff and the manager. Nobody else. Were not unlucky and we have not had any more injuries/suspensions than other clubs. Our terrible results stem from the terrible system we currently play. Its nothing like how Fergie set us up either before some clown claims it is. Its ****ing embarrassing seeing the seemingly clueless get it wide and cross policy moyes employs. Anyone ( I know you dont) who thinks, hopes or believes moyes will turn it around is a ****ing idiot. You could give him the bayern Munich side and he'd have them play the same way as he has us playing. Give him mata and has him put in more crossea in a game than he had in 12 for Chelsea. Each one pointless. We have 2 holding midfielders.... 2???? Why???? It just leaves a massive gap between the CM and forwards. This means when we put an aimlesa cross in we are exposes to a counter. How often have we been 4 v 4 on tge counter and conceded? Far to many times. Im a fan and I can see this happening every game so why cant the ****ing manager? Sorry about spelling. On phone again so...
I didn't even read it, sorry. I wasn't on about that, I really can't be arsed with what the others are doing. Not interested, that's not my argument. You seemed to be somehow suggesting we've not changed our policy under the Glazers when we simply have. We have, it's the truth. They've got lucky in having Ferguson in charge. Had he left we'd have been in deep **** a whole lot earlier but this has been coming because we've been shopping at Tesco instead of waitrose.
I'd agree that its changed. I'd also say that we have spent quite a bit. Its not like weve signed many who we could call cheap.
Then Fergie takes the blame for spending obscene amounts on average at best players, i.e. Zaha and Jones etc
Wouldnt call Jones average and its unfair to lump Zaha in there. Fergie loved to by British Tbf, its just most of the better British players are Infact ****. Massively over priced as well. Makes tge claim about the glazers seem a bit off. Oh they never gave Fergie any money... Fergie buys Ashley young for 20million. Glazers are well tight Fergie spenda 10million on a player who less than a year ago was non league. Glazer ****s Phil Jones signed for 20million. Pesky glazers Record breaking deals for Berba, De gea, Mata. Were skint... Fellaini....
All you do in quoting Smalling is prove my point. The long term replacement for Vidic and Ferdinand should not be a bargain basement ex non league player. It should be a Vincent Kompany. The rest could have been bought for the money they got for selling Ronaldo so you're using spin, yet again. They are leeches bleeding money out of the club. ****ing end of. There are occasional marquee signings which just blinds the likes of you. And you've got the ****ing cheek to call US lemmings. What SHOULD have happened is that they were actually competing with our rivals in the the transfer market, those being Barcelona, Real Madrid, Bayern and Chelsea and City. Instead we sell our best player to one of those clubs and buy sub standard ****e to replace him. Wake the **** up.
Smalling cost more than Kompany.... So doesnt work out. We also bought a vidic for Kompany money. Weve never ever bought superstar after superstar. Glazer or no glazer.
Don't think your squad is that bad. You need three or four players, especially in CM... Gundogan, Pogba, Kroos quality. And a quality CB. Moyes is just not making the best use of what he has
I always said they should give Moyes time but the decision to play Mata out wide is absolutely comical. De Gea, Carrick, Mata, Rooney, RVP aside - the squad is bang average.
