Talking of twats, Gary Lineker is a twat. I was told a story about him, which I believe completely, and I can't look at him in the same way anymore. He's a ****. Cleverly, on the other hand, is the victim of the fact he plays for United and so is seen in a light he shouldn't been in. He's bang average but he's not alone in that in the England squad so I don't see why the petition should be reserved for him. Some people are just halfwits.
There was a good, although fairly tame, one on the radio a few years back which describes exactly the kind of person he is. He'd ordered a vintage car for the weekend and the guy who'd delivered it said there was some paperwork required - he asked if he could go into the house and Lineker said no you wait there. He came back out with his licence etc and the bloke said he couldn't have the car as his licence had too many endorsements. Lineker phoned the bloke's boss demanding that he be given the car and asking that he be sacked for insolence. Neither happened.
It was about a time he was at Wimbledon with his bint. This is eye witness, a bloke who's son was a big Spurs fan. His son is ten, has to be persuaded by his Dad to go over and ask Lineker, a hero of his, for his autograph. Kid has to shuffle across (embarrassed) clutching a pen and is programme and sheepishly ask Gary if he would mind signing. To which Lineker refuses and say's 'can't I go anywhere? go away' Kid then has to shuffles back to his seat, baffled, as the those around look at said Mr Lineker. ****ing ****.
Good of him. My hero. The whole country rallied round when his own son had leukaemia, he clearly doesn't care a **** about upsetting other people's kids though does he. My point remains, he's a ****.
Helping your family out is a very nice thing to do - nobody would disagree. That doesn't take away from the fact he gives the impression of treating the general public (who in one way and another fund his fabulous wealth) like dirt though
Probably to reduce his tax burden and he'll no doubt still hold the title deeds in his portfolio. He might even be charging the council rent for the chap, for all we know.....
