Like me, born in Bristol, unlike me - a true Chelsea superstar and the original Chelsea Captain marvel being Captain of our very first top flight Championship winning side in 1955. His death is very sad news coming so soon after the death of Ray Wilkins. I’m sure I remember him doing a half time circuit of the Stamford Bridge pitch recently but I can’t remember which game. Roy Bentley - Chelsea and England legend - RIP.

Really sad news he would come on the pitch at half time and even manage a short jog to the Matthew Harding to great cheers . Another great has left us.

WAAAAY before my time.
But if he captained the Blues, then he is worthy of a nod.
RIP Mr Bentley
