An entertaining and fast moving game. Cinderford shaded the first half but Rovers came more into it in the second half. Balanta played 90 minutes. Nice touches but probably not yet at full fitness. Played as a wandering attacking MF. Tyler Lyttle (son of Des) impressed at RB. Jamie Lucas led the line but could have made more of some heading chances. Pierce Mitchell captain? Still doesn't impress me. One gaffe in first half almost led to a goal for them. Puddy went off injured second half. Their No11, Gary Preen, impressive and direct. Gosling and Monkhouse gave good, honest performances. Both have excellent attitude. In the end a fair result, but Cinderford made it hard and, with a better finisher, could have won it.
Cheers P49. Monkhouse went off early, was he injured do you know? Nothing mentioned in the report on the post.
Ok, this also may be the reason why he was allowed to play last night.... his 3 match ban is over. Sent off at Telford, mssed Tranmere, Alfreton & Kidderminster. So now free to play. And the above may also explain why he was taken off early. Im just presuming then he was given just a run out to refresh his fitness and didnt want to to do much as will be involved in this weekends game. Just a guess but it makes sense!
Marcus Stewart praised Tyler Lyttle earlier this month following a development game against Exeter http://www.bristolpost.co.uk/Bristo...ise-teenager/story-24074541-detail/story.html He sounds like a good prospect! With Cunnington gone and now White, we only have Taylor, Harrison & Brunt as forwards. Did you see anything in Lucas that could force his way into the team, while waiting for a striker to join us?
