DC has said on the Bristol Rovers FC latest news site that Rovers are in deep talks with two players, no positions or names given but if all goes well it could be early next week
Here is the clubs announcement on twitter about this. Old timer, notice the day and time of the announcement....
CJS If they want to give you / give yourself 10 bonus points that's fine, I am so far behind in the attendance / time of goal that it wouldn't make any difference but those close to you might object
The only thing that's certain is that in the game we are interested in today is that Rovers will get two points or three.
Tony Craig is about to sign for us from Millwall. He is a CB and aged 32. He has played over 300 games with Millwall and won promotion to the championship last season with them and was their captain too. Don't think he is their captain this season though as not hardly played this season. Offers lots of experience. But with Lockyer, Sweeney, Broadbent and Menayese, I am not sure where he will fit in. I mean, Lockyer seems to be the 1st name on the teamsheet by DC and Broadbent and Sweeney are doing well. Menayese is young and has a lot to learn still but hasn't let us down when needed. But Craig's leadership will be invaluable though in the changing room. I haven't even mentioned injured James Clarke yet and where he will fit in when recovered from injury.
Craig might play for Millwall against Derby on Tuesday night hope he doesn't pick up an injury which stops him signing, did he play against us last season in our final match
On the Bristol Rovers FC latest news it gives Craig's position as Left Back who can also play as a Central Defender
Yes he played against us in that 4-3 defeat and scored too He also was the captain as well. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/39682628
