One option I hope doesn't happen - http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/jun/03/fifa-sepp-blatter-britain-football It would split the sport in two, just like boxing. But there should be a "gathering" of countries to call FIFA's bluff.
And that gathering only needs six nations. England, Spain, Germany, Italy, France and Holland. If those six called FIFA's bluff and begun starting a rival affiliation then watch the USA, Australia and pretty much every European nation follow them. They will all support the big six nations over FIFA because of those six are big money, bigger than what FIFA can offer them after they leave.
Boycott the world cup is the only way. If there was no European teams in it then they will have to do something. Its only a game after all and not worth ordinary folk paying through the nose for it whoever stages the games. The poor Brazilian people wont benefit jack **** and will still be living in tin shacks or in sewers for shelter long after the games have finished. Its just one big rip off from start to finish...
Brasil is like India, China and many emerging economies. Most people are living in poverty whilst the new middle class rises and then you have the billionaires. They aren't fair and equitable societies at all so it's little wonder there are demonstrations.
Sepp's fightback has started - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/27762435 Like a cornered rat, the best form of defence is attack.
He's like the LibLabCon groups, resorting to crying racism when they see trouble for themselves. I have a feeling he couldn't buy out the American.
